John Cena vs. Brian Danielson
To the match as we get some basics and reversals to start, leading into a drop toehold from Danielson. The American Dragon, as Danielson is known as in the Indies, was on Velocity a few weeks ago, by the way, where he lost to Jamie Noble. It was a good match though. Here, Danielson continues his temporary offense with an arm bar takedown, while also applying an arm bar. Cena counters it into a test of strength, allowing him to get his foe on the mat for consecutive one counts. However, Danielson manages to bridge up, and Cena is unable to maintain him on the mat. As a result, Danielson ends up giving Cena a nice monkey flip, but falls victim to a big clothesline moments later from the rapper. "That's a monkey flip right there," The Cat points out. Heh, he's right. Cena pounds away now with some punches, before sending Danielson hard into the buckle. The Velocity Jobber comes out to receive a hard back elbow, to which Cena gets a two count from. The former Velociter has a bearhug on now at this point, but breaks it up soon after not getting the submission. He would pay for that mistake, as Danielson drills him with... the ghetto blaster! Wow, second straight week we've seen that move. Maybe Bad News Brown is on his way back to WWE! I wish. Danielson follows up the move with a flurry of offense, starting out with a rough kick to the groin area. Some upper cuts later lead to a vicious kick to the back for a near fall, but as Danielson goes for some more offense in the corner, Cena blasts him with a boot to the face, and immediately follows with his patent windmill slam (Called the Kill Switch in OVW) to pick up the victory. Good match. Ignoring Danielson's "tighty whities," I enjoy seeing him on the show. But no rap for Cena? Come on.

Nunzio vs. Funaki
To the match as Funaki knocks down Nunzio with a shoulder block to start. He follows with a scoop slam and some arm drags right after, before going to the arm bar. In retaliation, Nunzio fires back with a hard forearm, and avoids a dropkick from Funaki seconds later. However, Nunzio is unable to capitalize as he misses an elbow, and now Funaki works over Nunzio with some kicks in the corner. On commentary, our hosts talk about Nunzio's "people." Oh, you mean the guys from the Stacker 2 commercials? Or maybe even Joey Numbers! I'd mark out if Joey Numbers was actually a real person. Anyway, as Funaki tries to continue his dominance here, Nunzio nails him with a dropkick in mid-air as Funaki leapt off the second rope. This gets Guido a two count on the pin after, and now Nunzio begins working over Funaki with some kicks and hair pulling. "I need to bring my people, man" says The Cat. If Marc Loyd was one of those people, I'd cry of happiness. He needs to have a match with Josh Matthews to get his job back. Concentrating on the match again, Nunzio works a bow-and-arrow submission hold, only to have Funaki turn it into a pin for a two count. A schoolboy and backslide later get Funaki consecutive near falls, and Nunzio regains control right after with a clothesline. He now resorts to the chinlock, and although Funaki elbows out, Nunzio maintains control by pulling him down by the hair. Despite this, Smackdown Number One Announcer stays in the match with some punches, followed by his awesome enzigiri. Both men are down, and as they get up, Funaki establishes his advantage with a bulldog for two. He follows by issuing his low dropkick to the face for another near fall, and proceeding a boot in the corner, Funaki seeks to wrap everything up with the Rising Sun. Unfortunately for the former Hardcore Champion, Nunzio counters the move, and manages to execute his springboard single arm DDT to pick up the one, two, three. These two worked well together.

Burn of the Night: This past week on Smackdown, Team Angle defeats Los Guerreros to capture the WWE Tag Team Championship. Don't worry Chavo, you'll be getting that Cruiserweight Title soon, hopefully.

Highlights of Paul Heyman and Team Angle's visit to The World are shown.

Josh and Cat show us some of the highlights from the awesome Angle/Benoit match that took place this past week on Smackdown. I'm certainly not complaining about the match, but why give it away on free TV?

Josh and Cat intro more highlights from Smackdown, this time showing Sean O'Haire's conversation with Brian Kendrick, followed by the impersonation of the Nike Shox commercial. I have a few questions. One, how did Sean get on Smackdown if he's on the RAW brand? For those that don't know, O'Haire spent a few months fighting on HeAT, going undefeated I may add, then went off TV, before being introduced again with those promos. What a surprise, another flaw in the brand extension. And here's another question, WHY couldn't they have that Albert Squash take place on Velocity? It would've been the perfect birthday present for me, but I'll be fine with A-Train/Edge later on. As far as the streaking itself goes, the whole segment would've been better if they got Lord Alfred Hayes to do the commentating.

Bill DeMott vs. Phil Brown
DeMott starts by shoving down Brown, and as he chokes the innocent jobber, he yells, "What are you thinking?!" several times. Yeah Phil, what are you thinking accepting this squash? Let's see now, clothesline chops, punches, all by DeMott. Oh, and here's the SCREAMING WARTHOG RAM OF PAIN! He got that from Albert, ya know. More choking, more punches, more marking out by me. But wait a minute, Phil fires back with a right hand! "He's fighting back, Cat!" comments Josh. Yeah, how could a jobber be fighting back during a Bill DeMott squash? Phil adds in a kick to the face, but as he goes off the ropes, DeMott clocks him with a clothesline, and follows up with a powerbomb (Not the Dr. Bomb) right after to pick up the win. After the match, DeMott adds in another powerbomb for good measure.

Rewind: Two weeks ago on Smackdown, Vince tells the world that he will kill Hulkamania. It's amazing how so many have said that, but never actually accomplished it. If the Twin Towers and Slick, or even King Haku, couldn't do it, then who does Vince think he is saying that he could?

Josh and Cat show us the Rock's interview from Smackdown, followed by the Rock/Hogan exchange. Hogan, consider yourself dissed by The Rock. And you're only supposed to retaliate when you're opponent is actually listening.

Josh and Cat introduce an A-Train/Edge highlights package. We are so close to this match, and I am so PUMPED!!

A-Train vs. Edge
Here we go, to the match now as both men STARE each other down before engaging into a tie-up and into the corner. As they break it up, Edge shoves Albert, and they tie-up into the corner again. As Smackdown's best referee Mike Chioda breaks it up once again, Albert attempts a cheap shot, but Edge ducks it and responds with an arsenal of punches. Albert simply shoves him away to avoid the barrage of right hands, and he knocks Edge down with a SCREAMING shoulder block. I love when Albert screams. As Albert tries to follow up with a big splash though, Edge rolls out of the way, and gets in a few kicks to the rib area. They go into the corner, where Albert reverses an Irish whip attempt. When he tries to follow up with the I-Love-To-Scream-Very-Very-Loud-As-I-Run-At-You-In-The-Corner ram, Edge dodges it and follows with some shoulder rams of his own. Soon after, Edge connects with a dropkick to the ribs, but as seeks some more offense right after, A-Train shilacks him with a clothesline, and now we get to see some of that exciting Albert offense. He starts off with some kicks, just as the crowd starts up the loudest "Shave Your Back" chant I've ever heard. Wow, even the crowd is into this. Vince must've paid the crowd or something to get them into this Albert match, and once again, I thank him. A backbreaker now for Albert leads right into an elbow to the back. Excuse me for a second here but I really love Albert's offense. He's my favorite wrestler, ya know. Albert now goes to the abdominal stretch, which is GREAT ring psychology, proving to all of you Albert critics out there that the guy really isn't dumb. Anyway, Albert breaks the hold to deliver another backbreaker, and he manages to yell, "Get up!" at Edge. I love when he yells like that to jobbers. Albert goes back to the abdominal stretch right after, and then breaks it to attempt another backbreaker. However, Edge wiggles free and scores with a schoolboy for a near fall. As he goes for his face-plant now, Albert counters with a knockdown, and some of his INTENSE "clubby" blows to the side of the head.  Albert hopes to get a submission now as he applies a bearhug, while The Cat laughs at the irony. You see, he's like a bear... giving Edge a bearhug. I'm sure you get it. Anyway, Edge somehow counters the hold with a jawbreaker, and he follows up with some punches to the mid-section. A clothesline later is unable to take the big man off his feet, but a flying forearm is enough to accomplish the task. As Edge goes off the ropes again, Albert gets him up for a military press slam, but Edge frees himself, and takes A-Train down with the Edge-O-Matic for a near fall. He now goes for the Edgecution to end it right here, but Albert rams him into the corner. He now goes for the Baldo Bomb... err, Derailer, but Edge dropkicks himself away. The former Intercontinental Champion then goes for the Spear, but Albert gets out of the way, and this allows him to connect on a corner ram, followed by a clothesline. Albert now goes for a Vader Bomb in the corner, and since that move rarely worked for him in the past here on Velocity, Edge gets the knees up, and soon follows with the Spear to pick up the hard-fought win in an exciting match. Great match between these two, and I'm happy they had it take place on Velocity.

Bill DeMott vs. Funaki
-Referee Mike Sparks calls for the bell and we're off. Funaki tries some right hands before DeMott bashes him into the corner. Funaki dodges the corner charge and works a schoolboy for a near fall. Funaki scores an inziguri, but DeMott regains control with some choking over the middle rope. Bill drives forearms into Funaki's head and gets a near fall. DeMott cinches in a modified reverse chinlock. Funaki tries to fight up, but DeMott throws him down by the hair. Funaki manages a dropkick and gets a two count, but DeMott comes back with a stiff clothesline that knocks Funaki clean out. With no need to bother with a finisher, DeMott kicks Funaki over onto his back and gets the effortless 1-2-3 at 3:10.
-HERE is YOUR Winner: Bill DeMott

Mathews intros Smackdown highlights of the ongoing feud between Brock Lesnar and WWE Champion Kurt Angle. Brock interrupted Kurt while Angle was trying to put the moves on Smackdown GM Stephanie McMahon for Valentine's Day. General Manager McMahon booked a Six-Man Tag Team Match for No Way Out pitting Kurt and Team Angle against the threesome of Lesnar, Edge and Chris Benoit.

Later in the evening, Brock demolished John Cena in a match before goading Angle into the ring for a little psychological warfare. Team Angle, however, saw things differently.

WWE Rewind: On Smackdown, Rey Mysterio defeats Matt Hardy, who is trying to lose weight to be able to face Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman.

Shannon Moore vs. Mike Knox
-Between Moore's pop and Knox's heelish look, I guess Shannon's the face in this one. Moore hasn't won a match in ages. Shannon with the early advantage before taking Knox over with a hurracuranna. Knox manages a back suplex and covers for two from senior Smackdown referee Mike Chioda. Knox with a backbreaker. 1-2-kickout. Knox shoves Moore into the ropes and drives some forearms into his back on the rebound. That's right out of Sgt. Slaughter's playbook. Seated surfboard by Knox, but Moore won't give. Shannon powers out and gets the elbow up on a corner charge, but Knox kicks him to the mat. Moore dropkicks Knox's knee to get the bigger man down and scores a springboard crossbody out of the corner for two. Moore blocks a corner charge with his boots and comes off the second rope with a sweet swinging neckbreaker to end it at 3:23. Good little match, Moore picks up a sorely needed victory.
-HERE is YOUR Winner: Shannon Moore

WWE Burn of the Night: On Smackdown two weeks ago, The Rock promos on Hollywood Hulk Hogan via satellite.

Mathews and Miller intro a video package that chronicles the history between The Rock and Hollywood Hulk Hogan. They will meet for only the second time at No Way Out. Both men will be in attendance this coming Thursday on Smackdown.

Commercial

The latest Nathan Jones promo airs. He will debut in an interview this coming Thursday on Smackdown.

Jamie Noble w/Nidia vs. Billy Kidman for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
-A series of nice basics leads to a Kidman head scissors takeover that sends Noble to the outside. Kidman planchas out, but Noble dodges and tosses Billy back into the ring. Noble gets a near fall from referee Brian Hebner before kicking away at Billy. Noble with a double neck vise using Billy's own arms against him, but Kidman fights out. Noble drives Kidman to the mat with a forearm and goes to the second rope, but Kidman rolls out of the ring to avoid the hangman's legdrop. Noble brings Kidman back in with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall before dropping Billy's throat over the top rope. Backbreaker by Noble for a near fall. Kneeling inverted neck vise by Noble, but Kidman won't quit. Kidman fights up and scores his Death Valley back breaker. Both men are down...

Commercial

...They rise and slug it out. Kidman with a huge backdrop and a beautiful dropkick. 1-2-Noble kicks out. Noble looks for the Tigerbomb, but Kidman counters into a double leg pin for two. Noble gets a near fall after a clothesline. Kidman goes for a springboard DDT, but Noble turns it into a back suplex. 1-2-shoulder up by Kidman. Kidman counters a powerbomb into an X-Factor, but Nidia is up on the apron. Referee Hebner tries to warn her down, but Kidman has to come over to get rid of her. Noble charges, but Billy dodges and Noble nails Nidia. Schoolboy! 1-2-Noble barely gets the shoulder up. They get to their feet and Noble scores the Tigerbomb. 1-2-Kidman just gets the shoulder up. Kidman manages to drop Noble to the mat and goes to the top for the Shooting Star Press. 1-2-3. Kidman takes it at 7:08 to retain his title and end a really good match. Kidman in the best wrestler no one cares about.
-HERE is YOUR Winner and STILL the WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Billy Kidman

Mathews and Miller quickly wrap the show and that's that.

And so, for The Cat and The Kid, this is The Commissioner saying...

GOODnight Everybody!

WWE Burn of the Night: Last week on Velocity, Bill DeMott knocked Funaki clean out with a hard clothesline.

Funaki vs. Bill DeMott
-I guess Funaki's a real glutton for punishment. Either that, or someone on the booking team has a real mean streak in them. Funaki tries to attack DeMott on the outside, but Bill easily takes control and levels Funaki with a clothesline. Funaki manages an inziguri and some right hands. Bulldog by Funaki for two from referee Mike Sparks. Huge back suplex by DeMott. DeMott beats Funaki about the head and shoulders over the middle rope. Funaki tries for a crucifix, but it's nothing doing, DeMott turns it into a big Samoan drop. DeMott goes to the top, but Funaki dodges the flying elbow. Funaki goes to the top and scores a cross body block. 1-2-kickout. DeMott levels Funaki with a huge clothesline and then adds the stiff powerbomb for the 1-2-3 at 3:18.
-HERE is YOUR Winner: Bill DeMott

Mathews intros Smackdown highlights of Brock Lesnar running the Team Angle gauntlet to earn an all too brief match for Kurt Angle's WWE Championship.

WWE Rewind: On Smackdown, Rikishi defeats Johnny Stamboli, but he's soon whacked by the rest of the family.

Nunzio & Chuck Palumbo w/Johnny Stamboli vs. Nova & Johnny Jeter
-Nunzio and Nova (who looks nothing like he did in ECW) start with some basics and reversals before Jeter tags in. Jeter hammers away on Nunzio left arm and Nova returns to get two from referee Jimmy Korderes. Nova keeps control of Nunzio with armdrags, but Nunzio manages to tag Palumbo. Chuck beats Nova down in the corner, but Nova comes back with a head scissors takeover. Nova knocks Nunzio off the apron and leaps from the second rope at Palumbo, but Chuck catches him and Samoan drops him to the mat. Palumbo goads Jeter into the ring so Nunzio can choke Nova. Nunzio tags in. Sicilian Slice! 1-2-Nova kicks out. Nunzio now goads Jeter in and Palumbo sneaks in with an overhead belly-to-belly for a near fall. Discus punch by Palumbo and Nunzio returns. The heat segment continues with a Nunzio armbar, but Nova won't give. Nova manages an inziguri and makes the hot tag. Jeter keeps the opponents at arm's length and mounts Nunzio in the corner for punches, but Nunzio pushes him away and Palumbo blasts Palumbo with a Mafia Kick for the 1-2-3 at 5:34. Pretty standard.
-HERE are YOUR Winners: Chuck Palumbo & Nunzio

Mathews and Miller intro a video package of the build-up to Rock Vs. Hogan II. That match will go down tomorrow night at No Way Out.

Josh and The Cat run down the balance of the No Way Out card.

The silly (and kinda racist) new Los Guerreros promo airs.

Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros
-Haas and Benjamin really hear it from the crowd before Tony Chimel can even introduce them. This will be a non-title affair. Eddie and Haas start with Guerrero in control with a headscissors on the mat. A nice series of basics earns each man a one count from referee Mike Chioda. Hass winds up the arm, but Eddie flips out of it and delivers a dropkick. Tag to Chavo. Chavo keeps control and tags Eddie back in. Eddie somersault splashes in for a near fall. Chavo returns and gets a near fall before Haas escapes and Benjamin tags in. The Eddie tries to hang Shelton in the Guerrero corner as Chavo detains referee Chioda. Benjamin escapes the corner and stomps away on Chavo before tossing him out. Benjamin distracts the ref while Haas kicks the hell out of Chavo on the outside. Haas tags in and scores a nice overhead belly-to-belly. 1-2-broken up by Eddie. Benjamin tags in and gets near fall of his own before forcing Chavo into the corner and tagging Haas. Charlie drives the boots to Chavo and tags Benjamin back in. Chavo scores a desperation dropkick and makes the hot tag. Eddie gets the best of both opponents before working a series of vertical suplexes on Haas. 1-2-broken up by Benjamin. Everyone gets into it in the ring before Benjamin is tossed over the top. Los Guerreros look for the Mexican at Trick, but Benjamin pulls Haas out. Team Angle have seen enough to know they have seen too much and take to the ramp. Referee Chioda lays down the ten count as the Guerreros look on and that's that at 6:59.
-HERE are YOUR Winners as the result of a Count Out: Los Guerreros

Mathews and Miller quickly shill for tomorrow night's Sunday Night Heat (which will air on TNN) and that's it.

And so, for The Kid and The Cat, this is The Commissioner saying...

GOODNight Everybody!!!
