The show beigns with Glen Gilberti in the ring talking about D'Lo Brown's title match with Jeff Jarrett, where if Brown wins, he has to join SEX. Gilberti called out Brown, who didn't come out. Gilberti said Brown was right not to trust anyone, and talked about how Jarrett was an egomaniac, and how Jarrett attacked Brown from behind last week. Gilberti said Jarrett was only a "good guy" because they were in his hometown, and that the fans believed his "bulls***". Gilberti said Sports Entertainment Xtreme had Brown's back covered tonight. AJ Styles ran in and started brawling with Gilberti. AJ tossed Gilberti into the crowd, then launched himself off the ringsteps at Gilberti, who picked up a chair and blasted AJ with it. They continued to fight through the crowd, then back to the ring. Gilberti was in control, and Raven came out, and sat in the corner. Styles came back with a superkick and worked over Gilberti, while Raven just watched. Security broke up the fight and dragged AJ off, while Raven and Gilberti argued. D'Lo Brown ran in and got in Raven's face, but the rest of SEX came out and separated the two without a confrontation.
Brian Lawler w/ David Flair d.
Chris Harris
A few minute into the bout, David Flair reached in and choked
Harris, helping Lawler to take over after Harris dominated the
early part of the match. Don West needed a new mic during this
match. Towards the end, Harris hit Lawler with a DDT, but Flair
distracted the referee. Harris hit a spear on Lawler, but Flair
pulled Harris off. Lawler ended up accidentally hitting Flair
with the title belt. Lawler and Harris had a tug of war with the
belt, and Harris won, pulling Lawler into him for the Catatonic.
Flair distracted the referee again. Harris knocked Flair off the
apron, but Lawler finally hit Harris with the belt for the pin at
the seven minute mark. After the match, Flair and Lawler double
teamed Harris, until Dusty Rhodes made the save. Dusty grabbed
the NWA belt, but Lawler snatched it from his hands and ran off
with it. Rhodes got on the mic, and explained that people
wouldn't walk around with Babe Ruth or Muhammad Ali's trophies or
belts, and compared that to what Flair and Lawler were doing.
Rhodes said he earned the title. Rhodes got the crowd to chant
"Daddy's Boy" at Flair and Lawler. Rhodes and Lawler
exchanged insults, and Rhodes challenged Lawler to a bullrope or
bunkhouse match. Lawler challenged Rhodes to a ladder match, with
the belt up for grabs. Rhodes accepted the challenge for a ladder
match next week.
Trinity d. Alexis Laree
Raven came out and sat in the corner and watched. Kid Kash came
out on the ramp and watched. Laree and Trinity continued to
fight, and Trinity got the pin with a standing shooting star
press. Raven then grabbed Trinity and DDT'd her. Kid Kash started
to head to the ring, but then turned and left. Raven grabbed
Alexis by the hand, and dragged her to the S.E.X. locker room.
Sandman, Saturn and New Jack d.
Christopher Daniels and The Harris Brothers
The lights went out, and when they came back on New Jack was in
the ring. New Jack hit the Harris Brothers and Daniels with a
trash can lid to clear the ring. They then settled down and had a
traditional tag match. Daniels and Saturn worked in the ring for
a time, but then it broke down with New Jack and Sandman brawling
into the crowd with Daniels and one of the Harris brothers, while
the other fought Saturn in the ring. New Jack was going to put
one of the Harris brothers through a table from the balcony, but
Brian Lee and Jim Mitchell showed up and shoved Jack out of the
balcony through the table. Lee then beat up Harris as well. In
the ring, Slash ran in with a chair and hit Don Harris, but
Saturn superkicked him before he could be hit. Saturn then hit a
Death Valley Driver on Harris for the three count. Sandman and
Christopher Daniels continued to fight outside the ring. Mike
Barton, wearing a SEX shirt, ran in and attacked Saturn,
powerbombing him and delivering a Death Valley Driver.
David Young d. Sonny Siaki
Desire was handcuffed to the ring ropes on the floor, as per an
NWA ruling, so she could not help Siaki. At the end of the match,
Siaki went for La Magistral, but Young blocked it in mid-roll and
got the pin. Young chopblocked Siaki after the match, and Athena
came to the ring with handcuffs. Siaki was handcuffed to the
opposite side of the ring from Desire. Young and Athena then
unlocked Desire, and Young gave her a spinebuster.
X Division title Match
Kid Kash d. Jerry Lynn
Trinity was not at ringside with Kash. Kash was favoring the leg
and noticeably slower. Kash did hit a slingshot hurracanrana to
the floor, then immediately clutched the knee. He also managed to
uncork a moonsault for a two count, but most of the match was in
the ring. Lynn legdropped Kash on a springboard attempt near the
end. Lynn hit a spinebuster after both men missed clotheslines,
then delivered a second rope legdrop for a two count. Lynn
powerbombed out of a hurracanrana attempt by Kash for another
two. Kash came back with a face front slam for a two count. Kash
went for the MoneyMaker piledriver, but when Lynn blocked it, he
slammed him instead. Lynn floated over another slam to deliver a
reverse DDT for a two count. Lynn swung Kash into the referee on
a TKO attempt. A masked man in a spider outfit ran in and hit
Lynn with a swinging DDT. Kash covered, and the referee woke up
to count the pin.
Ron Killings d. Elix Skipper
Killings entered from the crowd. Killings asked for the mic, but
Skipper attacked him to start the match. Killings hit an ax kick,
but Chris Daniels ran out to distract Killings. Skipper set up
Killings for a superplex, but Killings turned it into a second
rope gourdbuster for the pin. After the match, Chris Daniels
attacked Killings, but Nelson Knight came in for the save,
splashing Daniels and Skipper in the corner.
NWA World Heavyweight Title
Jeff Jarrett d. D'Lo Brown
D'Lo attacked Jarrett backstage. They fought out from the locker
room area into the crowd. Jarrett hit Brown with a chair, then
Brown returned the favor. Glen Gilberti grabbed Jarrett from
behind at one point to help Brown, and then followed them to
ringside as Brown and Jarrett finally got into the ring. They
didn't last in the ring long, and were back fighting on the
floor. Jarrett pounded D'Lo on top of the announcers table after
Brown missed a chairshot. Jeff went for the chair, but Gilberti
grabbed it from him, allowing Brown to DDT Jarrett on the floor.
Brown put Jarrett in a sleeper in the ring. Jarrett battled out
of it. Brown gave Jarrett the Stroke for a two count. Jarrett hit
D'Lo's chokeslam bomb for two. The referee was accidentally
bumped by Jarrett, and Gilberti ran in to give Jarrett a
neckbreaker. The referee woke up to make a two count. Jarrett
came back and went for a top rope bodypress, and Brown ducked, so
Jarrett hit the referee. Gilberti tried to interfere again, but
Jarrett tossed him out. Mike Sanders ran in and hit Jarrett with
the title belt. The ref woke up in time to make a two count
again. Raven walked in and sat in the corner, distracting the
referee. Mike Sanders tried to superkick Jarrett, but missed and
hit Brown. Jarrett tossed Sanders from the ring, and hit Brown
with the Stroke to get the win, while Raven watched. Raven and
Jarrett went nose to nose, but security was breaking it up, and
members of SEX and TNA came out. Jarrett told everyone to get out
of the ring, and he and Raven appeared to be about to go at it.
Before anything could happen, Alexis Laree ran in and grabbed
Jarrett's hair from behind, so Jarrett turned and clocked her
with a chair to end the show.
