The Wildcat Willie Incident

Before Nitro aired, BPP senselessly attacked the WCW mascot and applied the Steiner Recliner.

A Tribute to Hollywood Hogan
Through highlight footage, Nitro remembered the greatest personality in wrestling history.

Scott Steiner Interview
The new leader of NWO black-and-white enraged the attending fans, praised Hogan and called out Scott Hall for a final battle.

Diamond Dallas Page d. Kendall Windham
Windham approached this contest with aggression and ferocity, but couldn't keep the People's Champion down. After tossing his opponent into the turnbuckle, Page hit a running version of the Diamond Cutter.

A Look at Tygress
The newest Nitro Girl was spotlighted in a well-paced montage of interview segments and dancing highlights.

Norman Smiley d. Prince Iaukea
After floundering for a few months, Smiley seems to have found his WCW groove. After surviving several near-falls, the international star grounded Iaukea with a sleeper hold.

LWO Interview
Eddy Guerrero called Rey Mysterio many names, claimed the Masked Superstar had cost him several matches, and ordered Mysterio to fight Silver King that night.

Rey Mysterio, Jr. d. Silver King
Recently inducted into the LWO, Guerrero told Silver King that this match would prove his loyalty to the group. Silver King seemed focused on injuring the former Cruiserweight Champ, but couldn't escape Mysterio's high-flying excellence. Mysterio won with an off-the-top springboard bulldog.

Kevin Nash confronts Goldberg
After hearing that Goldberg would fight Bam Bam Bigelow later that evening, Nash confronted the World Champ for dishonoring their contract. The two exchanged bitter words and were kept calm by Terry Taylor.

Wrath d. Renegade
The former TV Champ displayed virtually no successful offense, and quickly felt the sting of The Meltdown.

Horace Hogan and Stevie Ray d. Chavo Guerrero, Jr. and Disco Inferno
Pre-match, Disco called out Konnan and announced that he was now a member of the Wolfpac. Konnan's only reaction was to push off Disco when the dancing fool attempted to hug him. This tag match saw great teamwork between the NWOers, with Chavo really looking good amongst the bigger competition. When the match degraded into a four-man brawl, Horace and Stevie Ray manipulated the referee and delivered a spike pile driver to Disco Inferno for the win.

Kevin Nash Interview
Accepting that he couldn't stop the fight between Goldberg and Bam Bam Bigelow, Nash decided to join the fun, turning the main event into a 3-way dance.

Glacier d. Saturn
Pre-match, Ernest Miller and Sonny Onoo berated Saturn from the dressing room entrance. Glacier used the distraction to hit two Cryonic Kicks and almost win the contest. Saturn rebounded with a series of high-aerials. Miller came down to interfere, but ended up striking Glacier instead of Saturn. The move forced the referee to disqualify Saturn, and earned the official a Death Valley Driver.

Lex Luger d. Emery Hale
The newcomer proved to be strong and brutal in his first Nitro match-up, but couldn't hold down The Total Package. Luger racked Hale for the win.

Chris Jericho d. Bobby Duncum, Jr.
Once again, the Texan brutalized Jericho and, once again, Jericho cheated his way towards victory. The former TV Champion managed to get his feet on the ropes and score an ill-gotten pinfall.

Giant d. Scott Putski
Before the second-generation wrestler could mount any offense, Putski was choke-slammed and pinned. Post-match, Giant mocked DDP and his chances in their Starrcade match.

No Contest: Kanyon and Raven vs. Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit with Arn Anderson
This week, Raven wouldn't even come out to the ring. Kanyon refused to wrestle the Horsemen team, but said he would face either man on Thunder. The Raven crony also taunted Anderson, leading the veteran to threaten Kanyon with a crowbar.

Ric Flair Interview
The Nature Boy spoke about his Starrcade match with Eric Bischoff, and how everything would be settled.

Konnan d. Booker T
TV Title Match
Pre-match, Konnan's music video was played. This even match-up ended abruptly, when Stevie Ray struck Konnan with a blackjack. An infuriated Booker T confronted his brother and almost hit him, but held back. Stevie Ray dismissed his brother for his true family: The NWO.

Scott Hall d. Scott Steiner
Pre-match, Hall addressed the crowd. Steiner accused Hall of hurting the NWO referee, who then appeared -- taped and bound -- at the dressing room entrance. Referee Mickey J substituted for BPP's crony, and was protected throughout the match by Hall. The NWO ran to the ring and attacked the former Outsider and the Wolfpac ran down for the save. But the sides were too evenly matched, until Giant arrived and worked over Lex Luger and Konnan. Page then made his way to the ring with a chair and cleared out the bad guys.

No Contest: Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Kevin Nash vs. Goldberg
First, The Beast and Nash exchanged powerful blows. Then Goldberg entered the ring and all three men took turns beating on the other two competitors. The even and wild bout ended with security rushing the ring and forcing all three participants into separate corners.
