WCW Nitro

Uniondale, New York
November 9, 1998

After the rise of other wrestlers to public office, Hollywood Hogan decided to throw his knit cap into the political arena, in hopes of gaining one of the country's more humble offices: President of the United States. The announcement was met with much fanfare, flag-waving, and -- according to Hogan -- had even garnered enough interest to prompt a Nitro visit from none other than Bill Clinton.

Secret Service agents scanned the arena and a limousine did indeed pull up outside the Nassau Coliseum. But instead of witnessing waves from Hillary and Chelsea, fans were treated to an all-out brawl between NWO Hollywood and The Wolfpac.

Match Results

Juventud Guerrera d. Kaz Hayashi
A high-impact match-up, Juvy and Hayashi's amazing aerials took a backseat to Eric Bischoff's false promises of a Presidential visit and a ringside visit from The Cat and Sonny Onoo. The latter was too much of a distraction for Hayashi, who ended up feeling the business end of an Onoo kick. Guerrera took advantage of the interference and won with a roll-up pin.

No Contest: Alex Wright vs. Barry Horowitz
Before this match could build any steam, The Wolfpac made their way to the ring and stopped the match. Kevin Nash told NWO Hollywood that they would never stop fighting, and Konan vowed revenge for Bret's attack on Sting. Eric Bischoff then arrived and promised to give the Wolfpac everything they wanted. Later in the show, commentators announced that Konnan would face The Hitman, and Kevin Nash and Lex Luger would take on Giant and Scott Hall.

Scott Norton with Vincent d. Lodi
Short and sweet. In under a minute, Norton connected with his version of the Jackknife power bomb and secured the win.

Rey Mysterio, Jr. d. Eddie Guerrero
Pre-match, Guerrero again offered Mysterio membership into the Latino World Order. Once again, The Masked Luchador refused. Guerrero focused on Mysterio's leg throughout the match -- going as far as crushing it between the steel rings steps and post. But Chavo Guerrero, Jr. made an appearance ringside that allowed Mysterio to rebound and score a roll-up pin.

No Contest: Scott Steiner with Buff Bagwell vs. Chris Adams
Pre-match, official Mickey J. told announcer David Penzer that no WCW referee would officiate a Steiner match. Big Poppa Pump and Bagwell used the opportunity to double-team Adams, until the Dog-Faced Gremlin made the save. Rick challenged Scott and Buff to a World Tag Match later in the program. The NWO duo accepted.

Rick Steiner and Judy Bagwell d. Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell
World Tag Team Title
Scott and Buff couldn't believe it when Mrs. Bagwell sauntered to the ring wearing one of the tag team belts. Buff actually tried to clothesline his own mother, but Judy ducked and delivered a slap; Rick dealt a similar blow to Scott. The NWO members tried to leave, but not before Rick could issue a rematch challenge for World War 3.

Bret Hart d. Konan
This main-event-caliber match showed Konnan's resilience as well as Hart's focus on destroying any WCW star beloved by the fans. The Hitman worked K-Dawg's leg, until his rage prompted him to grab a chair and get disqualified. Hart tried to finish off the Wolfpac member, but was stopped by Lex Luger.

Scott Hall and Giant Kevin d. Nash and Lex Luger
The match started with Nash opening up on Hall, but soon the NWO Hollywood members managed to injure Luger and devastate him with smart tags and brutal attacks. Nash finally got the tag and wreaked havoc Big Sexy-style. Before Nash could connect with a Jackknife power bomb, Hart made the run-in and took out the Wolfpac leader's leg. Luger took out Giant and ran Hart back to the dressing room.
