Monday Nitro
Metrocantre,
Rockford, Illinois
November 27, 2000
One day removed from the explosive Mayhem PPV, and WCW was still going full speed ahead as they charged into Rockford, Illinois for another edition of Monday Nitro. The CEO Ric Flair stated that he had a special challenger for Scott Steiner to face at the Starrcade pay per view in December. After a hard fought title defense against Stevie Ray, Big Poppa Pump came face to face with the man next in line for his title - the former champion, Sid Vicious.
A mock press conference was shown spoofing the announcement of a new president of the United States, ending with Jeff Jarrett taking a guitar over the moderator's head.
Lieutenant Loco
and Corporal Cajun d. Sugar Shane Helms and Shannon Moore
Shannon Moore and
"Sugar" Shane Helms prepared to dance at the opening of
the show, but were interrupted by Lieutenant Loco and Corporal
Cajun to start the match. The Misfits worked together to double
on Helms and Moore, with a new, harder edge of The MIA becoming
more apparent. Cajun was in trouble in the 3 Count corner, as the
singing duo doubled teamed behind the referee's back. Loco got
the hot tag, but soon it was all four men in the action. Helms
went for a pin on Loco, but was pulled from the ring by Jaime
Noble and beaten with a ladder on the outside. After the attack
by Noble and Evan Karagias, Helms was rolled back into the ring
and pinned by Loco for an MIA win.
Backstage, Elix Skipper tried to pick up Ms, Jones. The Cat showed up and told Prime Time that he would take him out any day. Seconds later, Lance Storm knocked Miller to the floor with a chair over the head.
