Monday Nitro

Independance Arena, Charlotte, North Carolina
September 11, 2000

What was supposed to be the happiest night of David Flair's life turned out to be a nightmare for the second-generation star. First, his father returned to WCW, only to be hauled off to jail for violating a restraining order. Then, just when the "I Do's" were on deck, his fiancée called off the whole thing, revealing a problem with their pregnancy -- it wasn't David's baby.

From earlier in the day, Crowbar, Daffney and Ozzy buried the hatchet and wished David Flair good luck as he arrived to the arena.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett spoke to himself about the "band" playing later at the wedding.

WCW World Tag Team Title Match
The Filthy Animals d. Kronik
Disco interrupted Konnan during his jive to call Kronik out to the ring for a tag team title shot. Adams and Clark came out and tore into the champions before the bell. The Animals fought back, but Kronik's power was too much. The Harris Brothers arrived on the scene, using a ringside camera to blast Clark in the head. Even after a Chart Buster from Disqo on the outside, Clark kicked out of The Juice's splash off the top, but was finally put away with the nutcracker from the top turnbuckle, leading The Animals to victory.

Outside, the beautiful bride, Stacey Kiebler arrived to the arena with her parents.

Interview: The Cat and Ms. Jones
Miller said he was putting the Fall Brawl main event inside a cage, and booked a title match between Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner for later in the Nitro show. Miss Jones said she wanted a match against Jeff Jarrett, prompting The Chosen One to come to the ring. Jeff accepted, telling Jones that he was going to handcuff his wrists together during the match. The Cat and Jarrett exchanged blows, before Big Poppa Pump ran in, making it a two on one against the commissioner.

Backstage, Sting and Booker T arrived to the arena. Terry Taylor informed them of Jarrett and Steiner's attack on The Cat.

Stickball Bat On A Pole Match
Reno with "The Event" Chuck Palumbo d. Big Vito
"The Event" Chuck Palumbo came out with Reno, who was tossed around the ring by Vito upon entering. After the referee was knocked to the mat, Vito grabbed the bat from the pole, but was stopped by Reno, who applied his Roll the Dice. Johnny the Bull returned for the save, but instead joined the rest in attacking his former partner. Vito got to his feet, but was knocked down again as the Natural Born Thrillers all hit the ring.

Backstage, The Cat told Booker T and Sting that they needed to take control of the show.

Backstage, The Cat, Booker and Sting busted into the dressing room, threatening Nash, Jarrett and Steiner with a baseball bat and tire iron.

Pamela Paulshock Interview: Madusa
Madusa told Torrie Wilson that she was going to show her what it was like to be a wrestler in WCW instead of just eye candy.

No Contest - Madusa vs. Torrie Wilson
Madusa pulled Torrie over the rope to start the match, but The Franchise soon attacked, taking out the referee in the process. Douglas applied the STF submission on Madusa as Torrie screamed at her on the mic. Billy Kidman came in for the save, and Madusa challenged Shane to change the Scaffold Match at Fall Brawl to a tag match, adding Wilson and Ducey to the mix.

Backstage, Crowbar helped David Flair get ready for the wedding. In the other dressing room, Jimmy Hart gave Kiebler a telegram that arrived for her, but she set it aside and continued her preparation.

Outside, after another black limousine arrived, the Partridge Family bus pulled up to the building and out walked Mike Awesome.

Backstage, Kevin Nash proposed to Steiner that he lay down in their match. Big Poppa was reluctant, not understanding why he would be the one to lose.

Jeff Jarrett d. Miss Jones
After Jarrett was cuffed, The Cat got a few shots in before being stopped by Miss Jones, who told the commissioner to go to the back. Jones ripped into The Chosen One, slamming him into the ringside guardrails and into the referee. She commandeered the guitar, but Jeff grabbed the six-stringer away and slammed it over her head for the win. Mike Awesome made the save after the bell.

Backstage, Nash drew diagrams on the dry erase board to explain to Steiner that he wanted him to lay down. Scott threw a fit, storming away to ask Jarrett his thoughts.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett told Big Sexy that Steiner was never going to lay down for him.

Interview: Jim Duggan
Hacksaw came to the ring, once again thanking the fans for their support during his hardships over the past few years. Duggan went on to announce his retirement from WCW. Hacksaw called General Rection to the ring, passing his American flag onto the young MIA member. Canadian Champion Lance Storm came down the aisle with a reluctant Major Gunns, telling Jim that nobody cared about him or his country. Storm challenged Rection to a match right there, charging the ring.

Non-Title Match
General Rection d. Lance Storm with Major Gunns
The two fought out to the floor and back in, exchanging the advantage. Storm applied the Maple Leaf, but Duggan showed the referee that Rection had his hand under the rope. Lance knocked Duggan to the floor, but was caught with the 2x4, leading the General on to victory just days before the PPV.

Backstage, Kiebler was shocked after finally reading the telegram.

The Wedding of David Flair and Stacey Kiebler - Part 1
Crowbar and Nitro Girl Baby stood in the ring, waiting for the bride and groom. Stacey looked stunning in her gown, as her parents led her to the ring. David took the mic, saying he had to get some things off his chest. He called Arn Anderson to the ring, who gave him some advice to remember throughout his married life. David went on to announce his best man, his father "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who came out to an overwhelming ovation. Ric said he was happy to have his family back together. As the ceremony got underway, the Charlotte police arrived, arresting The Nature Boy for violating a restraining order that was taken out by Vince Russo earlier in the day. Stacey looked upset and walked to the back.

As Ric Flair was being put into a police car, Arn told his friend that he would take care of David and be down to bail out The Nature Boy later.

Vince Russo's doctor explained the brain surgery that he performed this past weekend on the WCW creative head.

Handicapped Match
Sting d. The Harris Brothers
Sting fought off the twin bikers, who came out with chains in their hands. As The Stinger slapped the Scorpion Leglock on Ron, brother Don wrapped a chain around Sting's throat, breaking the hold. Kronic ran in with chains of their own, choking The Harris Boys to the canvas. They placed Sting on top of one of the fallen bikers for the win.

Backstage, Steiner told Jarrett that he was not laying down for Kevin Nash.

Backstage, Stacey wanted to reschedule the wedding, but David talked her into going to the ring to finish the ceremony.

The Wedding of David Flair and Stacey Kiebler - Part 2
As the preacher asked if anyone wished that these two not join hands in matrimony, Stacey raised her hand. She told David that although she was pregnant, he was not the father. Kiebler ran to the back with David on her heels.

Outside the arena, Stacey made her getaway in a white limo as David arrived seconds too late.

Mike Awesome walked toward his bus with Pamela Paulshock, but was attacked by Jeff Jarrett and The Natural Born Thrillers.

Mean Gene Interview: Scott Steiner
Big Poppa Pump told Gene that he was going to destroy Goldberg at Fall Brawl.

WCW World Title Match
No Contest - Kevin Nash vs. Scott Steiner
The commissioner joined the announcers at ringside as Booker and Goldberg came to the ring as the special referees. Nash pushed Steiner with one finger, but Scotty pushed back with a finger of his own, neither man wanting to take the dive. Steiner and Nash attacked Booker, but Goldberg came in, dropping both men. Charles Robinson ran in, but was sent to the outside by Big Poppa. Steiner and Nash doubled up on Goldberg, slamming him with a steel chair on the outside. As Big Poppa held the chair in the air, The Cat grabbed it as Goldberg knocked Steiner off the apron. Booker and Goldberg cleaned house unto Awesome's bus came rolling down the aisle, carrying the NBT and Jarrett who jumped out and annihilated the two former champions. Big Sexy smashed Booker's head through the windshield as Goldberg was handcuffed to the front of the bus, breaking free just as Nitro faded to black.
