Interview: Booker T
The new WCW Champion made his way to the ring, much to the delight of the Jacksonville crowd. He told the audience that if it wasn't for the them, there would be no Booker T. The champ then turned his attention to the back, calling out the name of Bill Goldberg. He said Goldberg was a mark for himself and for the business. A security guard helped Booker's wife to the ring to join in his celebration. He thanked his wife for understanding while he was out on the road night after night. The Heat music began to play, but not for Booker. This time it was for his brother, Stevie Ray, who joined his brother and sister-in-law in the ring. Ray brought up the times that he helped Booker, sharing his bed and clothes with him when they were growing up. Stevie said he was proud of his little brother and hugged him, bringing the family back together. Big Poppa's music came on the sound system, prompting Midajah to come out. She stated that Big Poppa was the only real man in WCW, and that he would face Booker later in the night. Steiner attacked with a bat from behind, knocking Stevie from the ring, before destroying the champion. Poppa Pump told Booker's wife to help her husband as she slunk into the corner.

Backstage, Booker told Stevie to take his wife away so he could take care of some business.

Pamela Paulshock Interview: Jeff Jarrett
As Pamela told Jarrett that he was too late to grab a rematch on Nitro, Big Poppa Pump attacked from behind, sending The Chosen One into the metal scaffolding.

"The Franchise" Shane Douglas with Torrie Wilson d. Crowbar with Daffney
The Franchise said that his alliance with Torrie Wilson was planned back in the days of The Revolution. Torrie told Billy Kidman that she had been franchised, as Shane was more of a man than Billy could ever be. Crowbar, with Daffney by his side, came to the ring ready to go with Douglas. When Shane was in trouble outside the ring, Torrie stepped into the line of fire to save her new man. Daffney finally had enough of Wilson's interference and grabbed two handfuls of hair, before being stopped by Douglas. In the end, it was Douglas getting the win over his demented opponent with his new move, The Franchiser. After the match, Buff Bagwell came in and attacked Shane.

Pamela Paulshock Interview: Billy Kidman
Billy said that The Franchise was getting his sloppy seconds. Jarrett, who demanded the time to talk, came in and pushed Kidman to the side. Billy took exception, and a fight broke out between the two.

Outside, Smooth opened the limo for Tank and 3 Count, all of whom were dressed in tuxedoes, except Tank, who sported his favorite shorts along with his tuxedo top. Smooth handed then a gold record, as they grinned ear to ear entering the arena.

Backstage, The Cat told Jeff Jarrett that he was now booked against Billy Kidman for later in the show.

Interview: Tank Abbott and 3 Count
Tank and the 3 Count boys came to the ring, saying they were going to hang the gold record from the ceiling for the night so everyone could see their accomplishments. The Jung Dragons broke up the party, jumping on the song and dance trio. As Karagias was trapped on the ladder, the Dragons knocked him to the floor on the outside. The youngsters from the Orient cleaned house until Tank came in and started throwing punches. The Great Muta hit the ring to save the Dragons, blowing green mist into Tank's face before sending 3 Count and Abbott to the floor.

Pamela Paulshock Interview: Positively Kanyon
DDK said that he was going to speak with The Cat, feeling that he deserved the shot at Booker T, since he defeated him earlier in the Bash card.

Outside, Goldberg arrived to the arena.

Jeff Jarrett d. Billy Kidman
Kidman was all over Jarrett, flying around the ring, until The Chosen One hip tossed him clear over the top rope to the floor. Jarrett was ready for the fight, but Billy was house of fire, introducing Jeff to the ringside mats. With Jarrett on the outside, Torrie Wilson came out to confront her former man. The Franchise attacked from behind, delivering a DDT on the floor. Back inside, the two competitors continued to heat up the battle, which came to an end when Jarrett turned a bulldog attempt into The Stroke for the win.

Backstage, Scott Steiner demolished DDK, telling him he wasn't worthy of a Booker T title shot.

Backstage, The Cat interrupted Mike Awesome's conversation with Nitro Girl, Beef. The commissioner awarded Awesome the US Title, but The Career Killer turned it down, stating that he wanted to earn the title, not just be handed it.

WCW Title Match
Booker T d. Mike Awesome

The champion slapped hands around the ring, getting the fans psyched up for the title match. After an exchange out of a collar and elbow, Awesome dished out some powerful forearms, letting Booker know who he was up against. T threw some of his patented kicks to take control, pummeling Awesome in the corner with a series of punches to the head. Soon, the action spilled to the outside, where The Career Killer felt right at home, using chairs and metal guardrails to his advantage. Awesome dropped from the top turnbuckle with a frogsplash, but only got a two and a half count on the champion. Awesome set up a table on the outside, but after a series of reverses, was sent through it himself, knocked off the apron by a Booker flying forearm. T got his second wind, rolling out of a spinarooni, into a Harlem sidekick. Even after a missile dropkick from the top, Booker only got a two count on his challenger. Finally, the champion secured the pin on Awesome, successfully defending the strap in his first defense. The celebration was short lived however, as Scott Steiner charged the ring and attacked Booker, before being run off by, of all people, Mike Awesome. Booker nodded his head to The Career Killer in thanks as Big Poppa headed to the back.

Interview: The Cat
The Cat called Scott Steiner to the ring, telling him to get his ass in the ring and listen to the commissioner. Scotty and Midajah arrived, with Poppa threatening Miller to give him a title match in three seconds, or the mic would become a part of his body. The Cat said he would kick Steiner's ass himself, attacking the monster with a karate barrage. Within seconds, Big Poppa was on top of the commissioner, choking the life out of him. Booker T ran in for the save, but Positively Kanyon was right on his heels. As Jeff Jarrett joined the party, all four brawled around the ring, until The Cat regained everyone's attention. He booked a three way match with Steiner, Jarrett, and DDK, stating that the winner would face Booker at the New Blood Rising PPV. Enter Goldberg. The hired hitman asked Miller to put him into the match, and The Cat complied, making it a Four Corners match for the number one contender spot.

From early in the day, Norman Smiley attempted to train Ralphus for their rematch against Big Vito.

WCW Hardcore Title Match
Big Vito d. "Screamin" Norman Smiley and Ralphus

Vito came out with weapons in hand, ready to once again dish out some "family punishment." Once in the back, the match was officially on, with both Smiley and Vito using everything and anything they could get their hands on to inflict pain. In the ring, Ralphus tried to hide behind the table that was set up in the corner. Big Vito found the rotund challenger and handed out a sound beating, before placing him onto the table. Smiley clobbered Vito from behind, but the champion landed on top of Ralphus, retaining his gold.

Backstage, as Paisley looked for someone to iron The Artist's shirt, a man calling himself Kiwi told her to never speak to him in that tone again. Paisley looked intrigued with him as he walked away.

Lenny Lane was shown at ringside, holding a sign that read "Use Me."

Lance Storm d. The Artist with Paisley
Storm said that he was not there to dance and sing, but to wrestle. He asked the crowd to rise for the playing of the Canadian national anthem. The Jacksonville audience booed the anthem, riling up the youngster from Calgary ÉAlberta, Canada. Paisley joined the announcers at the table, calling Storm a "Power Ranger reject." In the ring, The Artist went toe to toe with the Canadian superstar, exchanging moves and countermoves. After a release belly to belly, The Artist came off the ropes for his DDT maneuver, but Storm turned it into a near fall pin attempt. Lance whipped Artist from the corner, but fell before his feet, rolling through with the crab submission hold for the win.

Outside, Vampiro pulled up to the arena in a hearse. He opened the back, revealing a coffin inside.

WCW World Tag Team Title Match
Kronic d. General Rection and Corporal Cajun

The Filthy Animals, Rey Mysterio and The Juice, along with Tygress came out to commentate before the bout got underway. Major Gunns came to the ramp and showed her artillery, before heading to the back with Stash and Loco. Rection and Adams started things off, both using their power to out maneuver the other. Juvi and Mysterio headed for the ring, but Mark Jindrak and Sean O'Haire arrived and fought them to the back. After Rection missed an elbow off the top rope, Clark tagged in for Kronic, cleaning house on the challengers. Cajun tagged in, but was immediately overpowered, and brought down with the High Time. Kronic used their new clothesline powerbomb move for the victory, but were attacked after the bell by former champions, The Perfect Event. Palumbo and Stasiak battered the champions with two Lex Flexers until Rection sent them scurrying from the ring.

Interview: Vampiro
Vamp said he has no excuses and shows no remorse for anything he has done. The Demon emerged from the casket, seemingly under a spell. As Asya tried to pull her fiancŽ out of the ring, the dark angel told Demon to choke her down, which he did. The lights flickered in the arena and a man in a long trench coat and black mask on tore Demon and Vampiro apart, delivering a pair of Stinger splashes and a Scorpion Deathdrop.

Four Corners Number One Contenders Match
Jeff Jarrett d. Scott Steiner with Midajah and Goldberg and Positively Kanyon

Steiner and Kanyon started off the contest, with Big Poppa using his mass and power advantage to wipe the mat with DDK. On the floor, Steiner used a metal chair on the back of Kanyon, before sending him back into the ring. As Poppa Pump went for the Steiner Recliner, Goldberg kicked him in the head, breaking up the move. Kanyon went for a series of pin attempts on Scott, but each time was stopped by the hired gun, Goldberg. Jarrett tried to get the fall on Kanyon, but was also stopped by the former Atlanta Falcon. Goldberg tagged Jarrett, unbeknownst to Kanyon, who put up the sign for the Kanyon Cutter. Positively was cut in half with a spear and went for the kill, but was stopped by Steiner. Big Poppa Pump and Goldberg went nose to nose, before blowing up at each other, taking the fight out into the crowd. While that was going on, Jeff Jarrett scored the pin on Kanyon in the ring, securing his rematch against booker T at the New Blood Rising PPV.
