Monday Nitro

Birmingham, Alabama
May 1, 2000

As David Arquette enjoyed the last five days as WCW Champion, he attempted to give up the title on Nitro, realizing he was an actor, not a wrestler. But Eric Bischoff had different plans. He not only told Arquette that he would be in the Triple Cage Match this Sunday at Slamboree, but by night's end, he would be facing none other than Tank Abbott.

As Hulk Hogan continued his war against the New Blood, he found himself embroiled in a nightlong battle with the biggest of the NB, Mike Awesome. Although Hogan wore down the faction, when it was all over, he not only tasted a shower of the New Blood, but his own as well.

Backstage, Ric Flair pumped up The Total Package, who prepared himself for his battle against the evil boss, Vince Russo.

Tank Abbott d. Diamond Dallas Page

The two went to the outside and into the crowd, as Bischoff and Kim watched from their dressing room. Kanyon and Arquette were locked into their room, rendering them helpless. As DDP was climbing the guardrail from the crowd, a fan hit him in the head with a bottle. As it turned out, it was no fan, but Jeff Jarrett, who knocked Page cold, giving Tank the win and a match against Arquette.

Backstage, DDP arrived back to the arena, driving the ambulance all the way. Back in their dressing room, Bischoff sent Jeff Jarrett to stop Page. It was too late, as Abbott was finished with a Diamond Cutter, center ring. Dallas put Arquette on top of Tank, and the WCW Champion remained undefeated.

Awesome gained control, using a steel chair on the Hulkster. Kidman came out with a chair, but was stopped by Hogan. Billy came off the top rope to the floor with the chair over Hulk's head, busting the former champion wide open. Back inside, Awesome covered Hogan for the three count. When Hulk got up and saw the blood, he started swinging the chair, hitting everyone in sight, including the referee. From the sky, a bloodbath dropped again, covering Hogan in crimson red. The New Blood members hit the ring and attacked as Nitro went off the air.
