Due to the Supershow held last Monday night Heat comes to us in fully recap mode with today's theme being the Diva Search to prepare us for the start of this year's contest tomorrow night on Raw. Yay (not). We are shown highlights from last year's contest with the Hot Dog eating contest, The Queen of the Mountain Match and the Pie in the Face segment. Finally there's a recap of how Ashley won and how she felt afterwards. In other highlights we recapped Torrie Wilson vs Lita, Johnny Nitro vs Carlito and the excellent Rob Van Dam vs John Cena vs Edge match from Raw. Heat closed with the introduction of the eight finalists (Yes the same agonising piece that wasted valuable airtime on Raw and SmackDown! this past week). Grisham signed off and that's that. Before I go I'd like to express my disappointment at Rob Van Dam's antics. He finally caught a break by smashing the glass ceiling, was having great matches and was part of a thrilling three way feud which will now suffer as a result. I've not seen this week's ECW yet so I won't fully comment on that but surely that will get even worse than it is. Having Big Show as champion is crap. Sandman is a much better choice. How ironic is it that RVD and Sabu have dealt ECW this bodyshot when we all expected it to be Vince McMahon. Don't get me wrong I'm a massive RVD fan and it hurts that he's out but even though we know his habits outside of the ring he got caught and WWE had to act in accordance with the Wellness Policy. RVD I look forward to seeing you again in 30 and even though the odds look slim I hope there's another title reign in your future.
