Goldust vs Lance Cade
Coachman informs us that Goldust is back full time but neglects to mention the nepotism involved in the decision. Seriously I don't mind Goldust though. Cade is announced as from Nashville Tennessee. His gimmick is so blatantly a knock on Jeff Jarrett. A Goldust chant starts as he crouches down in front of Cade playing his infamous mind games. Cade yells at Goldust to get up who does and clotheslines Cade down. Cade shoves Goldust who shakes about and they lockup with Goldust in the ropes and then jostle in the corner and the referee intervenes for a clean break with Cade still yelling at Goldust. Lockup side headlock by Goldust, off the ropes Goldust with a couple of ducks, Cade puts his head down, Goldust drops down and a shot to the face drops Cade and makes him roll onto the apron. Goldust advances grabs Cade by the hair and pulls him back up. Goldust with some elbows runs the ropes slips underneath to the outside and slaps Cade back into the ring. Goldust gets back in and seeing Cade in the corner he charges but does so into a boot which puts him down. Cade delivers mounted mat punches to the head and whips Goldust off the ropes into a backelbow for a one count. The crowd are on Cade's back. Cade traps Goldust's head in a vice type maneuver, Goldust tries to break free, Cade clubs and runs the ropes but Goldust blocks a Cade shot and counters with a series of quick punches and an elbow to the head. Goldust delivers an inverted atomic drop followed by an atomic drop after ducking a Cade swing attempt. Cade rebounds off the ropes, Goldust sets up for the Curtain Call, Cade sends Goldust off the ropes and puts his head down, Goldust counters with a double wedging jumping knee attack to the head before executing the Curtain Call at the second attempt. 1-2-3. Good opener with a good crowd reaction for Goldust and good heat for Cade. Nice to see the mind games coming back into play too for Goldust. Here is Your Winner: GOLDUST. I wonder who Goldust will have a feud with? Trevor Murdoch? Rob Conway? Would be good.

We send it to a generic studio background from earlier today for a Heart Throbs promo. After they come up from below and introduce themselves and touch upon their big match opportunity Romeo says they have big opponents and the odds aren't stacked in their favour but he fires up and says being big doesn't make somebody good. Being good makes somebody good and on Heat we're going to find out just how good their opponents really are. Antonio tells the other four to have no fear the Throbs are on the scene. They'll walk down the ramp with their tearaway pants and walk back up with a future shot to become the Tag Team Champions. The Throbs conclude saying when it's all said and done, when all the blood has been shed and when its all said and done etc etc ... The Throbs will leave everyone saying Whoa Whoa Whoa, their opponents screaming No, No, No and all the ladies screaming Oh, Oh, Oh.

Earlier today Tyson Tomko and Snitsky shared their thoughts on the match. Snitsky reminds Tomko they have the opportunity of a lifetime by winning their match tonight. Tomko confirms this then Snitsky says he has a problem. After Tomko agrees with Snitsky's statement that he is the Problem Solver, Snitsky says everytime he gets his toenails painted they stick to the top of his socks. Tomko reminds Snitsky of their opportunity tonight and says they could be the World Tag Team Champions if they win this match tonight. Snitsky says that sounds good and after both men confirm they're ready they slap each other a few times before Snitsky asks if Tomko will help him with that problem. Tomko finishes saying win the match then they'll worry about Snitsky's toes.

Chavo Guerrero vs Johnny Parisi
Nice to see Parisi back after his knee surgery. Now let's get a win. Grisham covers up for the surgery by saying the reason we haven't seen Parisi for a few months is because he asked for some time off to hit the gym and work on his technique. Now he's back to show people he's for real and yes he's bulked up a bit but is that from the gym? Eddie chants throughout as Chavo points to the crowd. Lockup, both exchange go-behinds and Chavo throws Parisi to the mat. Chavo with a single leg takedown goes to an armbar then takes Parisi to the mat and drops an elbow down across his arm. Chavo works into a side headlock as a let's go Chavo chant is evident. Parisi sends off the ropes, Chavo with a shoulder tackle, stepover, Chavo puts the brakes on and hits two armdrags then re-applies the armbar. Parisi gets up, knees the gut Irish whips Chavo who vaults over a charging Parisi who hits the corner. Chavo charges but Parisi moves and sends Chavo facefirst to the corner. Parisi with three knees to the gut sends Chavo off the ropes and drives his head into Chavo's gut. Chavo off the ropes attempts a sunset flip for a two count. Parisi sends Chavo down with a knee to the gut and covers for a one count. Parisi grips Chavo's arm and drives knees into Chavo's side. Parisi stomps then stands on Chavo's chest as the Eddie chants start up again. Chavo goes to the corner and tries to fight back with boots but Parisi knees the gut and traps Chavo in an abdominal stretch. Chavo refuses to quit and eventually manages to throw Parisi to the mat. Chavo counters Parisi's punches with his own then uppercuts him down. Chavo off the ropes hits a tilt-a-whirl headscissors and then a drop toehold on a charging Parisi. Chavo off the ropes lands a dropkick to the fallen Parisi's body for a nearfall. Chavo with a boot, goes for a slam, Parisi gets down and knees the gut twice before delivering a backbreaker for a nearfall. Parisi with punches to the midsection then rips at Chavo's face and picks him up ready for a suplex. Chavo blocks and counters no Parisi gets down after punching Chavo. Parisi ducks a clothesline. Parisi into a go-behind, Chavo elbows free then blindly climbs up top where he goes for a moonsault but Chavo lands on his feet as Parisi moves to the corner. Parisi turns into a boot to the gut and Chavo hits a DDT. Chavo points to the crowd heads up top and nails a frog splash for the 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: CHAVO GUERRERO.

It's Val Venis and Viscera's turn for promo time now. Val psyches up alone then Viscera comes in and after exchanging pleasantries Viscera is excited about tonight's match and its implications. Viscera says they have both been World Tag Team Champions before but its time for V squared to climb that mountain together and grab the World Tag Team Championship. What does Val think? Val is with Viscera but there's something he's been meaning to talk to him about for a long time now. It's been a long time, way too long since the Big Valbowski wrapped gold around his waist. Quite frankly since they've been tagging they've been on quite a roll. Viscera agrees. Val adds in fact since they've tagged Viscera has helped instill more confidence in the Big Valbowski then he's had for a long long time. Val promises Viscera when he climbs in that ring he will not do so with anything less on his mind than absolute victory. Val concludes saying when it's all said and done and the dust is settling into the ground he and Viscera will grab all them chicks, throw them in the limousine and take that long ride over to double V studios where they'll flick on the lights, flick on the cameras and flip on the action. Viscera was getting all excited by this. Nice intensity shown by Val. Damn does he want those titles.

Triple Threat Match for a Future World Tag Team Title Match
Heart Throbs vs Snitsky & Tyson Tomko vs Val Venis & Viscera
Val just discards his towel this week to display his seriousness. It looks like Snitsky will start with Val but Snitsky takes him out with a big boot so Snitsky starts with Antonio. Antonio dodges a lunge and leaps onto Snitsky's back attempting a sleeper. Snitsky backs Antonio into the corner so Romeo places his feather boa onto Snitsky and he actually likes it. Romeo tags in and the Throbs take advantage of a distracted Snitsky by hitting him with a double dropkick. Tomko rushes in the Throbs dodge him as he runs the ropes then Romeo lifts Antonio who kicks Tomko out of the ring. Snitsky goes to check on his partner and the Throbs hit them with double baseball slides as Grisham tells us about the Throbs hosting a dating show on Byte This this past week. One problem Grish we can't see it as the archive has mysteriously gone missing. Back to the match and the referee ushers Antonio out as Romeo greets Snitsky with a series of boots and forearms as he slides back in. Snitsky reverses Romeo off the ropes, Romeo ducks a clothesline then attempts a cross body, but Snitsky catches and gets him in a powerslam position before delivering a swinging side slam drop. Cover 1-2-3 and it's so long to the Heart Throbs. Thank you for your time. It's now down to a regular tag team match and we go to a break as Snitsky and Tomko clear the ring of the Heart Throbs then psyche up by hitting each other. Back from the break and Val whips Snitsky off the ropes into a drop toehold and Viscera drops a leg across the back of Snitsky's head for a nearfall. Val tags in and Viscera headbutts Snitsky who falls back into a Val atomic drop and then into a Viscera spinebuster. Val to the second rope gets thrown off by Tomko and Val favours his back on the floor. Snitsky tosses Val back in and drives him back first into the corner. Tomko tags in and after a Snitsky boot he unloads on Val with boots and punches then distracts the referee allowing Snitsky to get a choke in from the outside. Tomko delivers a powerslam for a nearfall before driving Val's back back into the corner and hammering away then tagging Snitsky back in. Tomko chokes Val as Snitsky charges in with a boot to the gut. Snitsky throws Val to the mat and goads him to get up. Val punches and chops back, Val runs the ropes but Snitsky catches in a bearhug. Snitsky wrenches away, Val punches out, Val with a chop runs the ropes into a Snitsky sleeper but Val counters into a sitout powerbomb and inches toward his corner. Tomko tags in and grabs a Val leg, Val hits an enziguiri in desperation. Snitsky tags in and runs at Viscera who stings Snitsky with a headbutt. Val crawls through Snitsky's legs and finally makes the hot tag as Viscera comes in all fired up. Clothesline to Snitsky, backelbow to Tomko, headbutt to Snitsky, slam to Tomko. Viscera catches a charging Snitsky with a swinging side slam and he readies for Visagra but Tomko clubs him from behind. This prompts Val in who chops Tomko into one corner and Viscera does the same to Snitsky in the opposite one before whipping Snitsky into Tomko. Snitsky goes to another corner so Val whips Tomko into him again then Viscera whips Val into them both. Val then blocks the heels in the corner as Viscera pumps it up charges and squashes the heels one more time. Val clotheslines Tomko over the top rope as Viscera delivers a samoan drop to Snitsky. Val climbs up top and connects with the Money Shot to Snitsky then Viscera falls on top with a VD (Viscera Drop splash) for the inevitable 1-2-3. Congratulations to V Squared. Here Are Your Winners: VAL VENIS & VISCERA. Post match Val and Vis celebrate and gyrate. It was nice to see the emphasis being placed on the Tag Team Division for the majority of today's show but it looks like that work has now gone out the window with the release of the Throbs unless Raw is planning on bringing up some new teams or debuting the Spirit Squad in the ring. Tag Team Wrestling needs to be made more credible in WWE and the belts need to mean more. I'm sure many of you would agree with me on this.
