Sunday Night Heat Results - 12/19/04

WWE Sunday Night Heat Opener:

The fireworks went off in the arena for the start of Sunday Night Heat as The Coach and Todd Grisham welcomed us to this weeks show. We then go down to Howard Finkel for the opening match of the night.

The Hurricane vs. Simon Dean


The music of the Hurricane hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring, and he is set for a rematch from a recent edition of RAW, as he goes head to head with Simon Dean.

The start:

The Hurricane and Simon Dean locked it up and traded some basics. Dean got Hurricane in the ropes and then hit a neck breaker, with the Hurricane’s back draped across the middle rope for a one count. Dean kicked away at the Hurricane and then chocked him out with his boot. Dean went for a swinging neck breaker but the Hurricane reversed into a backslide for two. The fans then started up a “Simon Sucks” chant as he regained control of the contest.

The Finish:

The Hurricane went for the Eye of the Hurricane, but Simon reversed and shoved the Hurricane into the referee. With the referee down, Simon went to work on Hurricane with punches and kicks on the mat until Rosey charged to the ring. Dean then grabbed his workout bag a high tailed it as Coach said he guessed it was a No Contest.


Winner - No Contest

La Resistance vs. Rhyno and Tajiri


The music of La Resistance hit in the arena as Sylvan Grenier and Robert Conway made their way out to the ring. Sylvan got on the mic and sang the Canadian National Anthem before being interrupted by the music of Rhyno as he stormed out with Tajiri!

The start:

Sylvan Grenier and Tajiri locked up and Sylvan grabbed a side headlock and then a wrist lock. Tajiri reversed and grabbed a side headlock of his own. Sylvan sent Tajiri to the ropes but Tajiri scored with an arm drag. Tajiri hit a spinning heel kick for two and then tagged in Rhyno who wrenched at the arm of Sylvan. Sylvan then made the tag to Robert, who took control on Rhyno.

The Finish:

Tajiri locked in the Tarantula on Sylvan in the corner but Robert broke it up and then walked right into a Gore. Rhyno went to get a piece of Sylvan in the corner but Sylvan took him down and then pinned him with his feet on the ropes for the cheap win.

Val Venis vs. Chad Collyer


Val Venis made his way out to the ring for singles action against former TNA star, Chad Collyer.

The start:

Val Venis and Chad Collyer locked up and Venis gave Collyer a wrist lock and took him down to the mat. Collyer tried to reverse but Venis kept the hold locked in. Collyer escaped with an elbow to the face and then grabbed a side headlock. Venis came back with a shoulder block and then blocked a hip toss into a backslide for a two count.

The Finish:

Chad Collyer worked on the leg of Venis for much of the match, but Venis pulled a sit out powerbomb out of nowhere to pick up the three count.

Trish Stratus vs. Victoria


Trish Stratus made her way to the ring as the former WWE Women’s Champion, and she is set for action here in the main event of Sunday Night Heat against Victoria.

The start:

Victoria and Trish Stratus tied it up and Trish backed Victoria to the corner and then pulled her to the middle of the ring by her hair. Trish with some forearms and then locked in a side headlock. Victoria came back with a monkey flip and then a scoop slam, and then the big wiggle moonsault for a two count. Trish got control back, and then sent Victoria shoulder first to the ring post to get the upper hand.

The Finish:

Trish Stratus scored with a chick kick from the apron on Victoria and then got back inside the ring and hit the Stratusfaction for the victory.
