Rodney Mack (w/ Jazz) versus Rosey
Tonight's announcers are the Coach and Al "I have a cold" Snow. The crowd is
definitely digging Rosey tonight on Heat. Mack gets the quick start at the
beginning of this match, but is topped cold by Rosey. A heroic pose scares the
heck out of Mack who lands on his butt. The two grapplers attempt a test of
strength with Rosey gaining the advantage until Mack kicks him in the stomach.
A little shuffle by Mack gets him in trouble as Rosey flattens him and goes for
a pin. Rodney manages to get out as Jazz distracts Rosey. Now, Mack works
Rosey over and gets some additional help from Jazz. This time it doesn't work
as Rosey learns from his previous mistake. A DDT by Mack puts Rosey away.
Winner: Rodney Mack
HBK, Ivory, and Linda McMahon remind us to Smackdown our vote. Mark Henry says
if we don't do it, he'll eat us.
Coming Up Next: Randy Orton won't back down from Evolution.
This past week on Raw, Randy Orton showed us why he is the current World
Champion by showing Evolution who's boss. Orton brings his new friend, the
sledgehammer to the ring and Evolution scatters. I must say, Ric Flair is
pretty fast for a guy in his fifties. Bischoff kicks Orton out of the arena and
demands that Orton returns the sledgehammer to Uncle Eric. He "accidentally"
drops it on Eric's foot as he is leaving. Now, Orton will have to fight Kane
tomorrow on Raw.
Random Notes from the Commercial Break: Ric Flair's book is still a
best-seller. Day of Reckoning is out on GameCube and another diva was
eliminated this past week from the Rigged, I mean Raw Diva Search.
WWE REWIND: Christian is back and he's gunning for Jericho.
Chris Jericho is getting ready for an interview when Stevie Richards interrupts
him. Apparently Steven thinks Y2J is the mystery woman helping Victoria.
(Split Personality?) Tonight it will be Jericho vs Steven Richards. Chris
promises he will take Stevie downtown to Chinatown. Booyah! Yeah!
Maven vs The Unknown Wrestler
Al and Coach show their comedic side by calling this poor guy G.I. Bobbagudich.
He basically destroys Maven whose only offense is a bunch of dropkicks. One
flying DDT later and Maven picks up the win.
Winner: Maven
This past week saw Maria get eliminated from the Diva Search and the Divas cut
promos on each other. If you saw the live version of this segment, I feel bad
for you. I saw it, then saw the edited version which was a lot funnier. Maybe
next week they'll let these ladies wrestle each other.
The Show Stopper makes his return at Unforgiven against Kane.
This past week on Raw, we saw Eugene fight Triple H. Hunter was about to hammer
Eugene's brains out but was stopped by Randy Orton. The two fight over who gets
the sledgehammer with Randy getting control and knocking HHH silly. Triple H
manages to get up from this attack with the sledgehammer only to become a member
of the RKO club. Oh yeah, that Eugene fella beats Hunter.
Sting of the Night: Batista and Ric Flair destroy Chris Benoit.
Chris Jericho versus Stevie Richards
Richards and Jericho push each other for a while when Jericho tears into Stevie.
Stevie grabs the rope when Jericho wraps him for the Walls. Richards locks in
the Camel Clutch but Jericho escapes. Stevie mocks Y2J who manages to muster up
enough energy for a comeback. Chris connects with the Flashback. Now he's
juking and jiving as he preps himself for that knee in the back move. He misses
and Stevie is on him like a rabid animal. The Stevie T nearly knocks out
Jericho who kicks out and locks in the Wall.
Winner: Chris Jericho
