Sunday Night Heat comes from London, Ontario tonight. The men
calling the action are the man who refuses to wear the genie pants again, Al
Snow and the Wannabes favorite WWE personality, the Coach. Now, let's turn up
the Heat!
Rosey versus Chuck Palumbo
We start off almost immediately with action. Chuck looks as if he's more ready
for a bowling match than a wrestling match. And that is one ugly-ass costume
Rosey has now. I know he graduated, but I think I preferred the S.H.I.T.
outfit. Rosey goes after the arm and Chuck reverses. Chuck starts in hard,
unloading with the fists and kicks. Rosey nails Chuck with a shoulder, and Chuck
bails to the floor to regroup. A knee and clothesline by Mr. Palumbo and he
proceeds to stomp a mud hole in the WWE's newest super hero. Rosey tries to
come back, but misses a butt drop. Chuck comes back with the kicks again and
locks Rosey in a camel clutch. Rosey scores with a Sideslam. Rosey hits a
clothesline and legdrop for two. Chuck goes to the eyes and nails Rosey with a
picture perfect kick to the face to get the pin.
Winner: Chuck Palumbo
We see a brief clip with Shelton Benjamin who tells us all to be sure to
Smackdown our vote!
Back now to Summerslam last Sunday. Still pictures tell the story as Matt Hardy
goes to town on Kane and gives him all he can handle. Lita even slips Matt the
ringside bell to use against Kane. In the end, Kane nails Matt with the big
Chokeslam for the pin. Lita is shocked. She's getting married. Kane is
elated. Cut to Monday night. Kane is wrestling Edge for Edge's IC title. Kane
nails Edge with the clothesline from the top. Lita grabs the leg of Kane for a
distraction. Kane still nails Edge in the face. Matt Hardy is in with the
Twist of Fate for Kane. Edge hits the spear and gets the win to retain his
title. Kane confronts Lita, but he's not mad. He's happy. They're fixing to
be wed... and then comes the honeymoon. Lita slaps Kane, but he likes it rough.
Tomorrow night on Raw, the wedding of Lita & Kane. And we're all invited.
WWE REWIND: From Monday night, Tajiri sprays Sylvain Grenier with the
mist. Rhyno nails Sylvain with the GORE! GORE! GORE! for the pin. Tajiri &
Rhyno get a tag title shot at the next PPV.
We go back to Monday again and it's everyone's favorite segment - the Raw Diva
Search. The wannabes all diss Carmella. They think (and I agree) that she
doesn't really want it and isn't trying. She just doesn't care. Michelle gets
the boot!
Maven versus Wavell Starr
I want to complain right now. Starr's name was never even mentioned by Al &
Coach. He was referred to as "Dances With Bobbagadutch" or whatever in the hell
it is that Al calls them. I love the Al - Coach announce team, but that little
habit of theirs is really annoying. Back to the match. Maven to the arm. Starr
reverses. Maven with dropkick. Hotshot by Starr and he clubs away at Maven.
Clothesline for two. Chinlock by Starr. Maven fights out with a clothesline
and suplex. Crossbody by Maven off the top, but Starr reverses for two. Maven
hits an elbow and goes up for the reverse DDT from the top for the pin.
Winner: Maven
Back to Monday night again. Benoit informs Randy Orton that they are having a
rematch. Cut to the match: Neckbreaker & chinlock by Orton. Benoit with the
elbow, but Orton hits another neckbreaker. The fists fly and Orton scores with
a knee and backbreaker. Orton to the top and he misses a crossbody. Facebuster
by Benoit and he nails the diving headbutt for two. (Commercial) Benoit hits
the triplex and locks in the crossface. Orton tries to roll out, but Benoit
hangs on. Here comes Evolution to the ring and Benoit goes to fend them off.
Orton takes advantage of the distraction and nails Benoit with the RKO for the
pin.
Winner and still champion - Randy Orton.
Batista disposes of Benoit on the outside of the ring. Evolution joins Orton in
the ring and the celebration begins. Batista lifts Orton on his shoulders.
Everyone is happy. HHH with thumbs up for Randy.... and then the thumbs go
down. Orton knows he's screwed as Batista drops him to the mat. Evolution
proceeds to beat the crap out of Randy as the screen goes to black and white to
mask some of the blood flowing from Orton's head. Batista plants Randy with the
powerbomb. HHH hits the pedigree. Evolution is the solution for beating up
Orton. Awesome segment.
Another invitation reminding us about the wedding of Kane and Lita for tomorrow
night. Hang on a second. I just asked Chris about getting married. If looks
could kill, I'd be beyond dead right now! I'm such an asshole sometimes! Heh!
Heh!
WWE SLAM OF THE WEEK: From Monday night, Ric Flair and Batista are
beating up on Chris Jericho. Edge comes out, but decides to not make the save
and just watches from the ramp after circling the ring.
Rodney Mack (with Jazz) versus Val Venis
What's the deal with Mack's eyebrows? They've got all sorts of gaps like he
plucked eyebrows with a weed eater. Jazz looks awesome. The crowd doesn't seem
much into Mack and Jazz. Val gets a big pop. Val starts off with a headlock
and then he and Mack trade shoulder blocks. Rodney scores with a hard (and low)
kick and some elbows. Knee and a big slam and Mack gets two. Rodney locks in
the Bearhug and does a little clubbing as well for good measure. Val hits some
elbows and a big knee. Neckbreaker by Val for two. The fists start flying and
Val hits the Spinebuster on Mack. Val goes to the top, but here's Jazz for the
distraction. Val kicks her off and goes for the money shot, but Mack gets up
the knees. Cobra-clutch slam by Mack and he picks up the pin.
Winner: Rodney Mack (with Jazz)
