Sunday Night Heat

And here we go again! Its time for the # 3 wrestling show in the world today,
Spike TV's own WWE Sunday Night Heat. Why does this feel like a dejįvu for me
today? Who knows? Anyway, I'm Doug and this is the Wrestling Informer Sunday
Night Heat report. Heat comes from Manchester, NH tonight. Calling the action
is "The Snowman" Al Snow and "Mr. Personality" Todd Grisham. Coach is off
chasing Diva's somewhere. By the way, Happy Birthday to "Heat" host Al Snow -
he turns 41 today. Now it's time to get busy and turn up the Heat!
Victoria versus Molly Holly
Molly has a nice blonde head of hair tonight, complete with the black chinstrap.
She needs to go ahead and go with the Sinead look. It'd look so much better.
Molly starts off strong with kicks and clubbing blows as she sends Victoria to
the floor. She follows and drops Victoria across the ring barrier before giving
her a hard elbow back in the ring. Suplex and Molly decides to lock up the arm.
Victoria fights back, but Molly lands the drop toe hold and puts Victoria face
first in the corner. Molly rolls Victoria up twice for two counts. Victoria
fights back again with punches and a backdrop for two. Molly lands a
clothesline, but Victoria rolls her up again and hangs on to get the pin.
Winner: Victoria
Molly snaps and gives Victoria a backbreaker. She goes for a chair, but
Victoria's "mystery savior" aka "Drag Queen" Stevie makes the save. Stevie
Richards makes an ugly woman.
Tomorrow night on Raw, we get to see lots of Diva's. Oh joy!
We see some clips from Vengeance as Edge takes out Randy Orton and becomes the
new WWE Intercontinental Champion. Cut to Monday night and it's Edge versus
Batista. We join the match in progress. Both men are down, but Edge is first
up with some forearms and a clothesline. Kick & DDT by Edge for two. Edge
misses a spear and Batista responds with a Spinebuster for a two count. Edge
catches Batista on the ropes and goes to the top rope. Batista clubs away, but
Edge pushes him off. Missle dropkick by Edge. He gets another two. Roll up by
Edge and he grabs the ropes for leverage to get the pin on Batista. Winner:
Edge
We get treated to a cool little commercial promoting Summerslam with Kurt Angle
& Batista. Not bad, but I like the Eugene-Regal one best. Spike TV is having a
"Viva La Diva Sweepstakes". Go to
http://www.SpikeTV.com for details.
Now we see lots of highlights from the WWE Raw Diva Search Casting Special from
this past Thursday night. Lots of girls shake and jiggle as the special judges,
Edge, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton & Triple H cut the field down from 25 to 10.
Val Venis versus Chuck Palumbo
Palumbo has a new look. Al compares him to a giant M & M (or is that Eminem?) No
matter. Chuck slaps Val. Val slaps Chuck. Chuck slaps Val. (Cat fight!) Val
uses the forearm shots. Chuck uses a knee. Hiptoss by Val. And we've got a
wrestling match in progress. Palumbo goes to the eyes. Val clubs away with a
snapmare and big kick. Clothesline by Val. Kick by Chuck. Neckbreaker and
suplex by Val. The Money Shot and it's all over as Val picks up the win. Now
that was a total waste of time.
Winner: Val Venis
Ric Flair has a story to tell. It's called "To Be The Man". It's on sale now so
go buy it already. Tomorrow night on Raw, lots of jiggles as the wanna-be
Diva's come to visit.
WWE REWIND: From Vengeance, Matt tells Lita that he needs time. She
needs to stay away from the ring.. and him.
We see a few more clips from Vengeance as Kane is ready to destroy Matt Hardy.
Lita interferes and distracts Kane. Matt uses a chair and picks up the win.
Now we move to Monday night as Kane & Lita are the guests in the "Highlight
Reel". Kane is upset. Lita is PO'ed and she's not taking it anymore as she
explodes all over Kane. She's going to do what she wants when she wants and he
can't do anything about it. She insults him, his manhood, and is just in full
psycho-bitch mode. She punks out the Big Red Machine and this whole storyline
is finally starting to look interesting as a result.
My favorite Summerslam promo. Eugene and William Regal go to light the Olympic
Torch. They light the torch and then Eugene lights up Regal as well, catching
his arm on fire. Eugene puts out the flames and then, as they're sitting there,
utters those classic words, "Stop, drop and roll!" Bwah-ha-ha-ha! I love it!
Great stuff from the WWE. Oh yeah - and Summerslam will be coming on August
15, 2004. "Stop, drop & roll." Heh! Heh!
We get a brief look at Al & Todd again and then it's back to Monday night. HHH
blames Eugene for costing him the match against Benoit. Eugene apologizes and
looks pitiful. HHH says they're still friends, but sends Eugene to talk to
"Uncle Eric". Eric plays up to Eugene and gives him a match against Benoit for
the title. We move ahead to the match. Eugene gives Benoit a rock-bottom and
covers for the pin, but Benoit makes the ropes. Eugene thinks he's won the
gold. Here comes Evolution to the ring and they systematically destroy Eugene
(and Benoit and William Regal). Evolution stands tall in the end.
WWE SLAM OF THE WEEK: From Raw on Monday, Ric Flair takes Hurricane to
school and beats him with the figure four. Wooooooooooo!
Randy Orton versus Rosey
I was wondering if Rosey was still a S.H.I.T. but from this match, I see that he
is. They lock up and go to the corner. Rosey lands in the cheap shot, but loses
the mask. Isn't he afraid we might find out his secret identity? Oh wait, he's
a S.H.I.T. so it doesn't matter. Orton lands a knee and some clubbing forearms.
Rosey splats Orton and sends him to the floor. Orton snaps Rosey on the neck
and hits a picture-perfect dropkick. Neck vice and then a chinlock by Orton. Sideslam
by Rosey gets two. The fists begin to fly back and forth. Rosey hits a
clothesline and big kick. Legdrop by Rosey and he gets two. Rosey misses a
splash in the corner. Orton hits the RKO and gets the pin.
Winner: Randy Orton
