Sunday Night Heat opened up with Todd Grisham and
Al Snow
MAVEN VS. GARRISON CADE
Maven was really over, the crowd loved him, and Cade had some minimal heat. The
two hooked up and tried a few submissions before Maven taking Cade down with a
leg trip, then pinning Cade but only getting a 2. Garrison got up and yelled at
the ref, turned around and was greeted with a punch from Maven. Cade took a
breather outside, then returned in the ring nailed Maven with a few punches and
kicks before getting hit with 2 dropkicks by Maven and a pin attempt by Maven
afterwards, but only got a 2. Maven tried pulling Cade and was met with a elbow,
then got ricocheted into the bottom rope. Cade covered Maven for a 2 count, then
strangled Maven in the ropes and hitting a neckbreaker into a 2 count pin. Cade
put Maven into a neck crank, until Maven fought out of it. Cade got nailed with
a kick in the midsection, but was nailed with a spinning back heel kick. They
both got to their feet abd exchanged a few punches which turned into some
clotheslines and a 2 count pin by Maven. Maven gave Cade the 10 punch, but
afterwards got a backdrop. Cade went to the top rope, hit an elbow drop and
pinned Maven for the win.
WINNER: GARRISON CADE
A preview for Victoria and Gail Kim is shown as well as a brief recap of HHH
talking to Ric Flair.
VAL VENIS VS. MURRAY HAPPER
Venis got over a SMALL bit (only by the women). The two locked up and Venis hit
a elbow drag then taunted Happer. Venis got Murray intoma headlock and then a
shoulderblock and then hit a hiptoss which he turned into an armbar. Murray took
Venis into the corner and used an elbow to break out of the armbar, then nailed
a few punches and a foot choke. Venis nailed a boot to the face and then a
clothesline, and then a back body drop. Val hit knees to the stomach and then a
side Russian leg sweep and then a few punches. Murray raked Val's eyes, then Val
hit a spinebuster and went to the top rope, hit the Money Shot, pinned Murray
and won the match.
WINNER: VAL VENIS
Commercial time.
They returned with the WWE Rewind which was HHH talking to Eugene and William
Regal, then showed the Regal/HHH match clip. Another commercial.
TAJIRI VS. CHUCK PALUMBO
Tajiri entered with a flip from the mat, and Palumbo just entered. Tajiri
out-sped Palumbo and hooked up a leg submission which Chuck turned into a
headlock. Palumbo picked up and dropped Tajiri hard still holding the headlock.
Chuck hit a shoulder block, then a 2 count pin. Palumbo hooked in an octupus
stretch, Tajiri got out and almost got a pin. Chuck nailed a great right hand,
but Tajiri and him shared kicks and punches until Tajiri hit an enziguri, and a
beautiful kick to the face of Chuck. Tajiri nailed a MASSIVE kick to Palumbos
head and went for a pin, but only got a 2. Chuck got up and threw Tajiri into
the the turnbuckle and then hit a big boot. The two got up, Tajiri hit kick of
death and won it.
WINNER: TAJIRI
They previewed Victoria and Gail Kim, and Litas pregnancy talk with Stacy
Keibler.
After commercial, they reviewed Kane vs. Benoit for the World title. Again they
previewed Victoria vs. Gail Kim, and went to commercial.
GAIL KIM VS. VICTORIA
VICTORIA' ENTRANCE MUSIC IS HORRIBLE AND I KNOW YOU THINK SO TOO! The two hook
up for a bit, then Victoria hit a judo hip lock takedown, but Gail got a
headscissors. Victoria put on an armbar then a back drop, then hit a standig
dropkick on Kim, 2 count pin after. Gail Kim knocked Victoria outside the ring,
and made Victoria almost get counted out. 2 count pin by Gail, and then Gail put
on a boston crab. Victoria got to the ropes, but Gail put a pin for a 2 count
on. Victoria got a small package for a 2 count, then got kicked by Gail, before
Victoria hit an enziguri for a 2 count. Victoria turned it into a powerslam for
a 2 count. Gail locked a headscissors, but Victoria broke out. Victoria went to
the top rope but was knocked out by Molly Holly, who was knocked out by Steven
Richards in drag. Victoria hit a side kick on Gail Kim won. Victoria and Steven
Richards in drag shared some stares after.
