Sunday Night Heat opened with Rhyno entering with
boos and cheers from the crowd.
RHYNO VS. VAL VENIS
Rhyno entered, followed by Val Venis with purple lights, new kneepads and towel
as always. He spun the towel and the match started. Val threatened the crowd.
The crowd cheered madly for Rhyno, and Rhyno taunted Venis to come forward and
fight. Val returns a taunt, and Rhyno gets a headlock on Venis. Val broke out,
and the crowd cheered "ECW", referring to Rhynos' past federation. Rhyno got an
armbar on Val, and then a quick leg trip. Rhyno threw him into the ropes and Val
ducked an elbow, then got Rhyno in a headlock. Rhyno eyeraked but Venis punched
the former ECW star Rhyno multiple times. Val threw him into the ropes and gave
Rhyno a shoulderblock. Val taunted the crowd and Rhyno got up looking for the
Gore, but Venis ducked out to the outside. We went to commercial break, and when
we got back they were both in the ring. Rhyno punched Venis into corner but Val
eye rakes Rhyno and throws him into the ropes. Rhyno reversed, and knocked Venis
to the mat and went to the top rope. Val got back up and knocked Rhyno to the
floor. Venis grabbed Rhyno and slammed him to the ring a few times and rolled
him back into the ring. Val hit multiple knee drops to the ribs of Rhyno and
went for a pin, but only got a two count. Val Venis got Rhyno back standing and
punched his ribs twice. Rhyno went down and Val went for a pin but only got a
two. He again got Rhyno back to his feet and locked in a octopus stretch. After
a while of being in the move, Rhyno breaks out and turns the stretch into a
hiptoss. Both wrestlers lay down for a little bit, but both got up and Val
booted Rhyno in the solarplexus. He slapped Rhyno with two knife edge chops, and
then went to hit Rhyno with a suplex but with the stronger legs Rhyno blocked it
br wrapping his legs around Venis. Rhyno pushes Val and gives a clothesline
followed by an overhead backdrop and a belly to belly suplex. Rhyno goes for a
pin, but only got a close two count by referee Mike Chioda. He grabs Val Venis
and throws him to the ropes, but Val blocks it and knocks Rhyno down. Val goes
for a pin with his legs on the ropes but the referee stops the count telling
Venis to get his legs off of the ropes. Val went to argue with Chioda, but when
he turned around when he was finished arguing he got Gored and pinned for the
three count.
WINNER: RHYNO
Before the commercial break they previewed the match of Trish versus Nidia and a
recap of the highlight reel from Raw. They return with the Subway recap and
recap the confrntation with Batista and Randy Orton versus Shelton Benjamin and
Chris Jericho. Matt Hardy entered for his match.
MATT HARDY VS. RUDY (COOPER?)
Again, Al Snow called the unknown wrestler "Rudy Bobbaganooch". Matt Hardy
locked in an arm twist to a headlock, but Rudy busts out and throws Hardy into
the ropes. He locks in a headlock of his own and then gets Hardy to the ringpost,
and then violently slapped Matt. Matt Hardy version one got out of the
turnbuckle with a confident and a little angry look. Hardy gets an armbar on
Rudy and returns the slap to Rudy. The unknown shows the same look as Hardy whe
he was in the corner. Hardy got an armbar and then a leg takedown to Rudy, but
Rudy got back up and punched Matt, then Hardy ducked an elbow from Rudy and
throws the unknown outside. Rudy got on the apron and attempted a sunset flip
but missed and Hardy took advantage by going to thge top and hitting a double
axe handle. Hardy went to pin but got a two count. Rudy got up and reversed a
suplex to hit a neckbreaker on Matt Hardy and pinned him but only got a two. The
unknown had Hardy in a head twist and the crowd cheered for Matt, and to their
delight Hardy got up and punched Rudy and hit him with a back body drop after
throwing him to the ropes. They both got to their feet and Hardy blocked a punch
from Rudy, knocked him down and hit a leg drop. He got Rudy back up and threw
him to the corner and nailed a running bulldog and went to pin Rudy but received
only a two count. Hardy went back up but Rudy countered Matt and rolled him up
for a pin, but he only got a two count. Hardy got to his feet and nailed the
side affect on the unknown, and as Rudy got back up Matt Hardy hit the Twist of
Fate. He pinned Rudy and got the three count.
WINNER: MATT HARDY
They went to comercial, and after was a recap of the twenty man battle royal,
and the recap of Bischoff telling roster to handle HHH and Shawn Michaels.
TRISH STRATUS W/ TYSON TOMKO VS. NIDIA
Trish enteres with Tomko in a cocky attitude, with boos from the crowd. Nidia
comes in and does a "girly" pose and makes her way to the ring. Tomko leaves the
ring and Trish gets Nidia in a healock to snapmare. Nidia got back up, but Trish
kicked her in the stomach and bashed her head into the turnbuckle and chopped
Nidia in the chest. Stratus missed a chop and Nidia kicked her into the
midsection. Trish raked Nidias eyes and Nidia fell to the mat. While on the mat
Trish stomped on both of Nidias hands. Nidia got back up though and Nidia
slapped and kicked Trish, but soon after Tyson Tomko took Trish out of the ring.
Stratus got back in and got a hammerlock on Nidia and then a pin, but Nidia got
out after two. Trish choked and stomped Nidia, but Nidia got a small package and
almost the three but not quite. Nidia followed up with a backslide pin, Trish
kicked out but Nidia went for a schoolboy, but again only two count. Nidia
picked up Trish and gave her a flying backdrop followed by a northern lights
suplex, but Trish kicked out. They both got up and Trish connected with a chick
kick, pinned Nidia and won. Sunday Night Heat went off air.
WINNER: TRISH STRATUS
