Christy Hemme opened the show standing in front of the crowd to talk about the big matches.

- Jeremy Borash stood backstage with Ms. Brooks, her pencil, and Robert Roode. Brooks stroked her chest with the pencil as Roode talked about Eric Young being a comedy clown. He said he's tired of the fans treating him with disrespect. Brooks said she would prove why she's an asset to Roode's company. She said she would be willing to strip down buck naked. Brooks flashed her assets to Borash off camera. Ringside, Don West's ears perked up. Tenay talked about the PPV line up. He then demanded they air footage on Tomko's secret on Abyss.

- James Mitchell spoke for Abyss backstage with Jeremy Borash holding the mic. Mitchell said there's been a lot of melodrama on TV the last three weeks. Boy, you could say that again. Mitchell brought back the past when Abyss ridiculed Christian in his own home in front of his wife. He talked about Sting being two-sided, trying to steal the NWA Title despite putting up a front of being Abyss's friend. Abyss stopped grunted and stared into the cage wall behind the interview set. Mitchell snapped on Abyss and told him to listen to him. Mitchell said he took a broken man and made him whole. He told Abyss to get his gameface on. He dragged Abyss by the hair away from Borash.

1 -- RON KILLINGS & LANCE HOYT vs. SEROTININ (DEVINE & KAZARIAN & MAVERICK MATT)

Don West couldn't remember that Devine took the voluntary beating after Serotonin lost the opening match of the PPV last month. Hoyt set up for a coast-to-coast drop kick, but Kazarian crotched Hoyt. After the action broke down, Hoyt ran over Kazarian with a big boot. Killings hit an axe kick for the win.

WINNERS: Killings & Hoyt in 5:00. The crowd didn't care about 80 percent of the men involved in this match.

- Borash was with Jerry Lynn and Chris Sabin backstage. Sabin brushed off some dirt from Borash's jacket. Lynn said he's in position to call it down the middle. Sabin cut him off. Sabin told Gerald he couldn't see it right with the glaucoma and diaper rash. He said that when Sabin was buying tickets, he was having great X Division matches. Lynn told Sabin that after watching him wrestle, maybe he should go back to buying a ticket. Sabin told him to go buy a walker in his stonewash jeans.

- Raven led Kazarian to the ring on a leash with the rest of the group dragging him to the ring. Kazarian knelt on the mat before Raven lined up successive cane shots to the back. Raven left, then the group left. The fans applauded Kazarian for no apparent reason.

- They aired the video package from Impact where Angle talked about why he gave Samoa Joe a re-match.

- Borash held the mic for Samoa Joe, who was wearing a towel and a t-shirt. Joe said he had the same nightmare for three weeks of tapping out to Angle at the last PPV. Last night, he had a dream that he pummeled Angle from pillar-to-post, stretched him, and popped his tendons. He said he reveled in his pain and drank in his suffering and it...was...glorious. Joe predicted victory. He said, "It's real. It's damn real."

- The new announcer was outside in the parking lot. She said Kurt Angle just pulled up. She tried to get a word with the vehicle, but a sledgehammer popped out of the passenger side. She said they were trying to rib her. Horrible.

- Don West hyperventilated ringside as he broke down the PPV card. They closed with someone screaming/singing through a PPV preview video.

LIVE PPV SHOW

- The show opened with old grainy footage with a Christmas themed intro. They cut to a new TNA intro video package.

- Kevin Nash walked out to start the show. Dave Penzer said the PCS would be a five-man elimination match. Nash sat down on commentary.

1 -- SENSHI vs. JAY LETHAL vs. ALEX SHELLEY vs. SONJAY DUTT vs. AUSTIN STARR

Senshi walked out sporting a huge knee brace on his right knee. Lethal walked out followed by Shelley, Sonjay Dutt, and Austin Starr. Nash said Dutt's on the clear, as opposed to the cream and the clear. Tenay told Nash to put over Starr. Nash said he looks great. He said he broke in Jerry Lynn in 1961 in Mexico City. Tenay said yeah, he's heard that one about El Santo and Huracan Ramirez. All three dated themselves talking about the Superstars series on ABC's Wide World of Sports. Where's Cheap Seats when you need it? Nash said some other competitions in the PCS would be hitting balls off the driving range. Tenay asked Nash why he never ratted out Scott Hall when he said it was cool for Starr to rat out Shelley two weeks ago on TV. Don West said Nash should have ratted out Hall to the police. Silence. Nash then told West to be easy on that. Nash said Dutt would probably weigh 114 pounds without being on the gas. Shelley crotched Dutt, then dragged him by the crotch across the top rope. Senshi took a tag and the crowd cheered. Starr and Shelley had a shoving match when Shelley tagged himself into the match. Dutt gave Shelley a spinning DDT for a nearfall. Dutt caught Shelley off the ropes with a reverse neckbreaker into the Camel Clutch. Starr pushed Shelley closer to the middle of the ring so he was forced to tap out. Nash said at least he scored a point. *SHELLEY eliminated at 7:53 by Dutt. Senshi then ran over Lethal with a hard double foot kick to the chest for the next elimination. *LETHAL eliminated at 8:49 by Senshi. Senshi then ripped on Dutt with hard chops to the chest. Starr tagged in and took a dropkick to the chest. Dutt hit a turnaround clothesline, then he shook the ropes, which set off more accusations of steroids by Nash. Senshi broke up a Camel Clutch by Dutt on Shelley. Dutt then hit a flip over reverse DDT on Senshi. Starr avoided a moonsault, then he avoided two nearfalls and hit a brainbuster. Starr executed the 450 on Dutt for the elimination. *DUTT eliminated at 13:11 by Starr. Senshi caught Starr in the face with a kick to the face for a nearfall. He then went for a modified Cradle Shock, but Starr slipped out and hit the brainbuster. He set up for the 450 on Senshi, but Shelley ran to ringside and distracted him. Starr missed with a 450, then Senshi rolled up Starr for the win. Nash told Shelley and Starr to work out their differences. Starr screamed at Nash to do something about Shelley.

WINNER: Senshi at 14:37 to win the first round of the PCS. Good spots and great athleticism, but there was no sense of face or heel in the match. No one stood out.

- Borash was backstage with Eric Young in a pink bathrobe. He told Young that she said she would be willing to get buck naked. Borash said Young has something she doesn't have. Cajones. Young then flashed himself to Borash, who turned away.

- Robert Roode walked out with Ms. Brooks, who was in a black robe. Tenay said Young could win because "he's over with the fans." Young then walked out in his pink robe. Again, going back to my theory that someone on staff in TNA had a previous career at Disney or as a theatrical set designer, there were palm trees in two corners of the ring with a podium in the middle. Borash explained the rules. Brooks won the coin toss before the match, so she was up first. Brooks stripped down to her outfit. West said she's a 40D. Tenay and West exchanged awkward sexual innuendos. Young stepped on the stage and Tenay cackled with awkward laughter. These are the same two announcers who are going to call Joe-Angle II. Young revealed one of those t-shirts with a bikini outline. Roode screamed that Young was DQ'ed for improper bikini contest attire. Tenay, making fun of the ridiculousness of last month's PPV, said the title changes hands on a DQ. Young said he wasn't done, then he stripped down to Spongebob boxer shorts. Slick awarded Brooks the win because that wasn't proper bikini attire. Young cut him off and said he wasn't done. Young stripped down to little kids underwear. The crowd roared. Brooks was booed and cheered. Young was cheered loudly. Borash announced Young as the winner, then Roode jumped Young. He flipped over the set, but Young slipped to the outside. Brooks stood shocked in the ring. Roode then took the mic and asked Brooks what happened. He said sorry doesn't money in his pocket. Roode snapped on the fans and Brooks. He told her to make it up to him by forcing Young to sign a contract with Robert Roode Inc. Roode said the fans love Young and when Young comes to RR Inc., the fans would love him. Tenay said Roode was trying to get the rub. What's with the kayfabe tonight? Roode said that if Brooks doesn't get Young on the payroll, she would be off the payroll.

- The new chick was outside of Triple H and HBK's locker room. A Big Dick Johnson rip-off walked up behind her and humped her against the wall. No one answered the locker room door, so he walked off for catering.

2 -- CHRISTOPHER DANIELS vs. CHRIS SABIN -- X Division Title match -- Jerry Lynn special referee

Absurd placement of the X Title match...again. Tenay wondered aloud whether Lynn would call it down the middle. Daniels hit a split legged moonsault for a nearfall in the opening minute. Sabin knocked Daniels to the outside and hip tossed him onto the ramp. He then built up a head of steam for a big move, but slowed all the way down to a basic fist drop. Back in the ring, Sabin worked on Daniels's neck. Daniels came back with an STO. He landed short jabs to the face. On the outside, Daniels rammed Sabin into the guardrail. He then went up top and hit a big elbow drop to the chest. Daniels held his hip in pain. Back in the ring, Sabin quickly recovered and hit a dropkick for a nearfall. Well, that killed the big top rope move. Sabin then hit a tornado DDT for a nearfall. Daniels came back with a Death Valley Driver for a nearfall. He applied a front face headlock on the mat, but Sabin reached the ropes to break the hold. Sabin thumbed Daniels in the eyes, then quickly hit a Yakuza kick in the corner. Daniels then came back with a slap to the chest followed by the BME for the win. Afterward, Lynn took the X Division Title and said Daniels was the better man tonight. He told Sabin to shake Daniels's hand. Daniels and Lynn had a screaming match when Daniels said he wanted to walk away. Lynn then slapped Daniels across the face. Referees filled the ring to separate Lynn from Daniels. Sabin stood in the corner with the referees ignoring him. Tenay wasn't sure what to make of what happened.

WINNER: Daniels at 12:30 to retain the X Division Title. There's no art form to guys doing big moves, then the other guy making a quick comeback, and then repeating the cycle. It's just about doing spots now.

- Jim Cornette walked out to the ring. He thanked the fans for being part of the PPV. He welcomed some special guests to the Impact zone. First, A.J. Pierzynski and Dale Torborg. A.J. entered the ring with the replica X Division Title. He looks like he would be able to beat anyone in the X Division. Cornette introduced David and Rick Eckstein. Tenay asked West to put over Eckstein despite being a Cubs fan. Enough with the insider terminology. Goodness. Eckstein held up his World Series MVP trophy. West discussed Eckstein's new book. Eckstein said the fans in St. Louis were chanting, "T-N-A" after he was named the MVP. The fans chanted in Orlando chanted, "We want wrestling." Pierzynski and Torborg weren't paying attention while Eckstein discussed his book. Torborg began ripping up pages from the book. A.J. then ripped pages out of the book. He said Eckstein backed into a World Series victory and he won the X Division Title one year ago. Great, they just buried the X Title even deeper. A fight broke out with Torborg decking David's brother. A.J. and David had a shoving contest until Lance Hoyt made the save. He gave Torborg a big boot to the face. The Ecksteins and Hoyt stood their ground in the ring. Great, Demon vs. Hoyt coming to a PPV near you in 2007.

- Rhino stood backstage with Borash to scream and yell and make threats at A.J. Styles. He said he's going to make Styles see it his way. Styles, thankfully, interrupted the promo and beat down Rhino. He shoved the cameraman to the ground. They cut to Tenay and West, who filled time. Tenay said the brawl was continuing in the back, but they broke one camera. They cut to outside the building where fans screamed as Rhino slammed a pipe into Styles's gut. Rhino slammed Styles onto a portable garbage can. The fight spilled into the arena. They brawled through the crowd to the top of the bleachers. Styles then busted down a wall beneath the bleachers after throwing Rhino into the wood panel. Styles charged Rhino near the guardrail, but Rhino back dropped him over the rail onto the ramp. Rhino rolled Styles into the ring to start the match.

3 -- RHINO vs. A.J. STYLES

Styles hit a dropsault within the first minute for a nearfall. Rhino then caught him in the face with a boot, but Styles shoved him over the top rope to the floor. Styles sneered and backed away after opting not to go for a plancha. The fans booed because Styles deprived them of a big spot. Styles went for a baseball slide, but Rhino avoided the move. Rhino then caught Styles with a belly-to-belly suplex to the floor. Back in the ring, they had a mid-ring fist exchange. Rhino hit a spinebuster for a nearfall. He then flipped Styles over the top rope and Styles crashed hard into the guardrail. Styles instantly grabbed his knee. He said his knee popped. The referee did the "X" signal. Ooooh, it must be real now! Referees and trainers checked on Styles. He said he just wanted to finish the match. The trainer actually let him get up and try to finish. That's about as big of a dead giveaway as you can have and grounds for being fired if that was legit. Styles tried to get on his feet, but he instantly collapsed to the ground. The referees conferenced on a match decision as Styles was dragged to his feet. Styles then jumped into the ring and rolled up Rhino from behind for the win. Tenay and West said everyone was fooled, including themselves. That's because they have no credibility.

WINNER: Styles at 7:28. Creative finish that could have worked even better if TNA actually knew how to present a legit injury without giving it away three times. It keeps the feud going to set up Rhino for revenge at a later date.

- The new chick walked up to a random man who was impersonating Vince McMahon. They just showed the back of his body. He held up a cage with a rooster. They bleeped him saying "cock". He strutted off doing the walk.

- Rhino and Styles fought back up the entrance ramp until security separated them.

- Konnan cut a promo backstage. He said Hispanics were taking over the country and everyone would be speaking Spanish. AMW came out with Gail Kim. LAX then came out to cheers. A fight broke out ringside to kickstart the match.

4 -- AMW (CHRIS HARRIS & JAMES STORM w/Gail Kim) vs. LAX (HOMICIDE & HERNANDEZ w/Konnan) -- Flag match -- non-title

Hernandez flipped Homicide onto Harris on the outside. He then set up for a big move, but Storm cut him off with a kick to the face. Gail then hit a moonsault on Homicide. She clutched her stomach after hitting the move. Konnan hobbled onto the apron and kicked Storm in the gut before he could grab the American flag. More spots with Harris hitting a splash on Hernandez on the outside. Harris then dropped Homicide onto a ladder. Hernandez followed with a back drop sending Harris crashing into the ladder. The fans chanted for LAX. Homicide then hit a top rope elbow smash on Storm. Harris recovered and threw Hernandez into the ladder. Homicide then hit multiple suplexes on Storm. He did an Eddie dance, which the crowd cheered. Harris came back with a superplex on Homicide. Hernandez grabbed the Mexican flag in his corner. He then began scaling the ladder to hang it above the ring, but Storm hit a sunset flip powerbomb. Harris then retrieved the American flag. Homicide cut him off and hit a top rope Ace Crusher, which drew cheers. He went for the Cop Killer on Harris, but Gail Kim came off the top with a dropkick on Homicide. She set up a ladder in the center ring. She then grabbed the American flag and began climbing, but Konnan cut her off with a punch to the gut. Petey Williams ran into the ring and set up Konnan for the Destroyer, but Hernandez ran him over with a clothesline. Hernandez then flew over the top rope and cleared the ropes for a big splash on Storm. Harris and Homicide climbed the ladder simultaneously and hung up their respective flags. Storm then climbed up the ladder and smashed a beer bottle over Harris's face on accident. Hernandez then grabbed the American flag and threw it down. He hung up the Mexican flag to win the match. Afterward, Gail screamed at Storm for putting glass in Harris . Konnan said it's the first time in history that an American team lost a flag match. He told AMW that they have no class. Konnan told Tenay and West to stand at attention. The Mexican National Anthem played. Tenay said he's standing out of respect for Mexico, but not for LAX. They showed a close up of Homicide's head where blood was spilling out onto a towel. The full anthem played with Konnan staring at the flag with reverence.

WINNERS: LAX at 10:45. Just a bunch of spots. Hernandez's flying splash at the end was pretty sweet, but it was quickly forgotten when 18,000 other things happened right after the spot.

- Backstage, Storm said Harris just quit on him. He said it's a disgrace that the Mexican Anthem just played. He told Harris that he had until Impact to apologize to him and the fans for letting that crap happen.

- VKM walked out. B.G. did Triple H's ring intro, but he replaced "Stop it" with "Suck it." Random music played, then "Spirit Squad" walked out. B.G. and Kip did crotch chops and they instantly dropped to the mat. B.G. called out the fat, oily man. A BDJ rip-off strolled out. He jiggled into a superkick on a random Squad impersonator. VKM sent him away. B.G. said what just happened was parody and now it's time for reality. He said they were just having a good time with the parodies. B.G. stuttered through a shot at Jim Ross. The fans weren't sure how to react, so they politely applauded. He listed all the times WWE told them to visit WCW and take it to WCW, but now it's different when the tables are turned. He addressed Vince McMahon and said he's ruining their fun. B.G. issued a Million Dollar Challenge to see how big his cajones are. He said the accountants and management are supporting them in their attack on WWE. B.G. said WWE is killing the legacy of DX. Kip mouthed B.G.'s lines like Will Smith when he first started on Fresh Prince. B.G. said he was challenging DX to a $1,000,000 fight anywhere or anytime. He said it would be no angles, no spots, no finishes. B.G. called Vince a piece of s--- if he didn't accept the challenge.

- Christian Cage and Tyson Tomko stood backstage. Christian set the stage for the NWA Title match.

5 -- ABYSS (w/James Mitchell) vs. CHRISTIAN CAGE (w/Tyson Tomko) vs. STING -- NWA Title match

Abyss and Tomko had a nose-to-nose confrontation before the match. Abyss flew to the outside after Sting pulled down the top rope. Sting then threw Christian over the top rope to the floor and flew onto both men for spot #1,573 on this show. Tomko then jumped Sting from behind and slammed him into the guardrail. OK, so where's the DQ? Christian threw Sting into the ring steps and took a right hand blow from Abyss back in the ring. Christian and Abyss fought in the ring for several moments while Sting remained on the outside. Sting re-entered the ring and they did a three-man Tower of Doom spot. Sting then ran over Abyss with a clothesline. He followed with a Stinger Splash after a long pause. Christian landed blows, but Sting no-sold. He threw Christian into Abyss and hit double Stinger Splash. He went for a Scorpion Deathlock, but Christian thumbed him in the eye. Sting crotched Christian and Sting threw Abyss into Christian's crotch. Sting hit the Scorpion Deathdrop on Christian and had the pin, but Tomko pulled the ref out of the ring. He then gave Sting a big boot to the face. He sloppily threw Sting into the corner. Abyss and Tomko began fighting. Abyss clotheslined him to the floor, then press slammed Christian to the floor. Abyss had a chokeslam ready, but Mitchell decided to introduce thumbtacks into the match. Abyss stood in center ring and waited forever before spilling the tacks. Sting encouraged Abyss to chokeslam. The delay allowed more interference, with Tomko giving Abyss a big boot to the face. Abyss stood over the tacks like he was about to throw up into a toilet, then Tomko kicked Abyss's face into the tacks. Sting knocked Mitchell off the apron, then talked to Abyss. He kicked him down and applied the Scorpion, but Christian slammed Sting in the back of the head with a chair. Tomko threw the referee into the ring. Abyss gave Sting the Black Hole Slam and pinned him for the win.

WINNER: Abyss at 11:59 to retain the NWA Title. I don't know what that crap was. A WCW 1999 Thunder special that made me want to hurl.

- Borash interviewed Kurt Angle backstage. They cut to the same back-and-forth promo from Angle and Joe that aired on Impact.

6 -- SAMOA JOE vs. KURT ANGLE

Borash did the "big match" ring intros. Joe stared a hole in Angle from across the ring. Angle had his right ankle heavily taped. They stalked each other early on before Angle got in a cheap blow that upset Joe. He came back with a knockdown clothesline followed by combo right hand slaps and punches to Angle, driving him down to the mat. Joe flipped Angle over the top rope and Angle landed knee-first on the floor. They fought on the floor and Angle reversed offensive control. He threw Joe into the ring steps repeatedly. Back in the ring, Angle dominated with knockdown clotheslines. He suplexed Joe at 6:00 for a nearfall. Angle applied a reverse chinlock and sat down on Joe's back. They focused on a huge bruise on Joe's shoulder with a rainbow of colors for all to see. Joe took the offensive control with an overhead release suplex. He then went for the rear naked choke, but Angle slipped out and executed three German Suplexes. He stalked Joe for an Anklelock, but Joe slipped out and threw Angle to the corner. Joe set up Angle for the Musclebuster, but Angle slipped out and countered into the anklelock at 12:15. Joe rolled out of the hold, then Angle hit the Olympic Slam. He made a cover for a nearfall. Angle dropped the straps and locked in the anklelock again. Joe countered into the rear naked chokehold. The fans encouraged a tap out. They cut to a crowd shot for no apparent reason as Angle countered into another anklelock. Joe again countered into the rear naked choke. Angle held his hand in the air and faked tapping out. His arm dropped to the mat, but he came back with another anklelock. This time, Angle grapevined the hold. Joe fought the hold and reached for the bottom rope. He reached out and grabbed the bottom rope to break the hold at 15:40. Angle tried to suplex Joe off the top, but Joe headbutted him to the mat. Joe couldn't balance himself and Angle ran up top for a suplex resulting in a nearfall. Joe slipped out of the Olympic Slam, then he rammed Angle in the face and Angle crashed into the referee. There was a loud groan from the audience. Joe applied the rear naked choke and Angle tapped out, but the referee was down and out. Angle then low blowed Joe from behind after Joe released the old. Angle went to the announce table area and grabbed a steel chair. Angle missed with a chair shot and it recoiled into Angle's face. Joe pulled Angle down by the straps into the rear naked choke. Angle fought the hold before finally taping out. Afterward, Tenay and West recapped the highlights of the match. They focused on signs showing "Rematch." Tenay said this PPV showed why TNA is different than every other wrestling organization. Yes, because you get the worst of pro wrestling and the best of pro wrestling all on one show.

WINNER: Joe via submission at 19:17. Amazing sequence of anklelock and rear naked choke counters. I would put this match ahead of last month's PPV main event with more time and more dramatics.
