The Hurricane started out in the mainstream wrestling in WCW as Shane Helms as one-third of the trio of 3-Count, a singing/wrestling group. The trio had great success, being a popular group in WCW. When WCW was bought by WWE, Helms came along.

He started out as Gregory Helms, using his real name. He quickly changed to Hurricane Helms, and then he dropped his last name. He wears green and a cape and has a comic book look. Mighty Molly used to accompany him to the ring, but the two split. He won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. He has success whether it be in the cruiserweight division or wrestling against the bigger men of the WWE.

He teamed up with Rosey, his Super Hero In Training and the two have mild success in the tag team division of RAW.
