Val made his WWE debut in 1998 as the adult movie star turned wrestler. He made feuds by "filming movies" with the women of other wrestlers, such as that of Kaientai's manager Yamaguchi-San. One of his most memorable moments included almost being castrated by Yamaguchi-San for stealing his wife and also having a press conference with John Wayne Bobbit saying that he was fine. He won the Intercontinental Championship twice and has a good run in WWE. In 2002, he was drafted to Smackdown! group headed by Vince McMahon. He wrestled for a while, but was out due to an injury.

When he came back in late 2002, he changed his name to Sean Morley and became the chief of staff of RAW's General Manager Eric Bischoff. He didn't  wrestle much on TV, but was on camera every week helping Bischoff rule the roster.  He then went back to Val Venis and has not had much success since.

Val Venis has used several different names in the 2000's such as Val Venis, Chief Morley and Sean Morley.  He hasn't had much success with any of them, but he continues to wrestle on TV for WWE.
